To simply use, or better still put one in my outlook express/word/and google toolbar. I am a lousy speller but trying to improve, and american spellings just complicates things

MS Word comes with a spellchecker in both American English and British English. You can set it to British English as the default spellchecker (under Tools/Language/Choose Language/English (UK).

A good dictionary.
Then write the word six times. This will then embed it into the brain.
