This is a sad situation, and it's because of IRRESPONSIBLE pet owners, who let their animals roam the streets, or worse, just dump them off to live on their own.

If everyone had their animals spayed or neutered, we wouldn't have such a problem, but they don't.

Sometimes there is no choice but to put these animals down. It's sad, but at least they aren't on the streets, half starved or injured, or sick. Even the cats which run the streets and are healthy can eventually end up riddled with worms, fleas, and disease, or get hit by a car, left to suffer.

Right now, euthanasia is probably the best thing, even though it is very heartbreaking.

I am so sorry to hear your cat is missing... i hope you will reunite..

sending hugs...

I had a cat that was a house cat for 6 years and one day he just decided to take off. After about a week he just showed up on our front porch. Your cat may or may not come back, but they are smart enough to find their ways unless someone has taken him. Unfortunatly unless you have a lot of money to support the cats and kittens that are being killed, the only way you can prevent more and more animals from being killed is to have your pet spayed.

It is horrible what animals have to go through. I feel for them too.

it form of feels no person rather cares approximately cats ordinarily. i admire dogs as much as cats, yet this cat/dogs discrimination is getting especially stupid! as an occasion, some human beings i be attentive to the place talking approximately if a cat got here close to their backyard. They suggested they could get a shot gun and hearth close to it or at it (!!!!) to get it away. Now think of if this became right into a dogs, there could be complete outrage if somebody suggested that! Why are cats taken care of so inferior. Sorry for figuring out to purchase off subject count. yet rather, it form of feels like no person cares. And it rather bugs me. I even have checked kijiji presently, and what I see disgusts me. There are litters after litters after litters after LITTERs of kittens. Spring is basically commencing right here and so is kitten season. whilst will human beings comprehend that there are basically no longer sufficient residences!!?! i'm so uninterested with this. yet, there's a writing contest i'm getting into, and one in all my entries is a poem approximately kitten season. My different is probable a quick tale with regard to the destiny of a stray dogs/cat or shield animal. upload: I additionally think of that folk might think of because of the fact this is "basically a cat" who cares if it has a clutter. this is "basically a cat" so who cares if the kittens and the cat are thrown out the window into the streets or the wild to shield itself. because of the fact this is "basically a cat" who cares no count if this is barely thrown right into a river? because of the fact this is "basically a cat" it does not rather matter quantity no count if this is dumped on shield workers. I easily think of that folk rather do exactly no longer care approximately cats as plenty. My cat Duchess became into no longer rescued, yet she got here from a house whose little ones had hypersensitive reactions. i will basically rescue cats interior the destiny however (with stable reason).

Now days a "chip" is placed below the skin in the neck. Register the paperwork. If your next cat gets loose and is picked up, authorities will notify you. Other than that, spay and neuter, don't allow pets to run free.

Advocate the idea of spay/neuter! So many animals end up in shelters, due to people not fixing their pets. See if there's a program that helps to spay/neuter the feral cats, as well.

I think that if they are loose without a coller with tags, they should be killed. Cats went into my yard and killed my ducks and chickens. Cats torment my dogs by sitting in our yard. Cats poop in our yard and my dogs eat it and get sick. Cats pee in my yard and kill our flowers and grass. Cats eat our plants. Cats kill the birds that go to our bird feeder. I have never owned a cat, and never plan to because I actually like my neighbors.

That is why they should be killed.
