The profession of shaman has many advantages. It offers high status with a safe livelihood free of work in the dreary, sweaty sense. In most societies it offers legal privileges and immunities not granted to other men. But it is hard to see how a man who has been given a mandate from on High to spread tidings of joy to all mankind can be seriously interested in taking up a collection to pay his salary; it causes one to suspect that the shaman is on the moral level of any other man. But it’s lovely work if you can stomach it.
enjoy the day

They are very well described by you...fanatics! They are only after your money so they themselves can prosper. They could care less about you and your needs. Jesus said these kind of people would be exposed. They focus on what this Scripture says in 2Timothy 3:6,7. I know of many individuals who give money to these religious causes and get nothing in return but hardship knowing they could have used the money for their own means. God does not need money. Crooks who deceive others do, and they will be sorry someday soon.

There are a few... and I stress the "few"... of The True Christian Faith who brodcast The Good News over the air waves... but unfortunatly most are not..... it is a truth that it costs a lot to put on a TV show or even a radio brodcast... so it is necessary to raise money.... that is the way of the world.... but... knowing the genuine is the difficulty... One way to know is to find out if they have open financial records... if the money matters are fully open to public scrutiny then it is probably a ligit ministry... and how many of those are there?

They need the money, and the power and the influence.
America was built on entrepreneurship.
so the business of religion and god is very lucrative.
My sanctimoniousness makes it authentic and; we in America have to live.
It works better than other enterprises if we are sincerely sanctimonious.

Some really believe that they are doing good, instead of trusting in God to provide them with the necessary things (this day and age money) they humiliate and shame God by asking for money for their ministry. Yes it is all about the money, this is why we have scandals well I couldn't care less about who did what to whom when it is only a protrayal of the person a glimpse in the news I really don't watch them anymore because you do get tired of them asking to give in order to save your soul as if it is up for sale it is so insulting to think that they are trying to convince us that God will not forgive you unless you give him money, God doesn't need our money, he wants us to give it to the poor this is why we have them so God can recognize the true heart of man.

You mean my "holy water" might be out of the tap? My "prayer cloth" is cut from some clothes at good will? What about the piece of wood from Noah's ark? You don't think I was taken do you? These are men of God, they would never do something dishonest. I have a date with one of them later, he says he REALLY likes children.
NOT!!!
Peace.

most are in it for the money. if they weren't, they wouldn't be selling ''miracle spring water'' and the like. most televangelists are in the tv business for the same reason as anyone else- they want the ''good life,'' but there are a few who are sincere.

I have all the CD's, the DVD's, the special edition Bibles, the limited edition pictures of Jesus, etc.
I know that I'm going to heaven now, since I've certainly spent enough. How about you? Have you used your credit card for Jesus today?
