Catholics believe you are born with Original Sin - from Adam and Eve, and therefore babies would go to Hell

Most Protestants don't believe in Original Sin so dead babies would go to heaven.

I believe that All of it was mis-interpeted by the world, and therefore everyone has it wrong. Belief is based on perspective, and perspective is relative to knowledge and experiences. Heaven and Hell are right here on Earth. If you lost a child, you would know exactly what Hell is. Good Luck.

Interesting question and even more interesting answers. Seems a number of Christians answering it have conflicting viewpoints.
Some say babies are innocent so should go to heaven. Does that not contradict their Original sin theory? Others believe babies go to hell. So which is the correct Christian answer?
The concept of original sin and also of going to Heaven by believing that Jesus died for humanity's sins were never the work of Jesus. It was Paul (formerly known as Saul who was against Jesus from the onset until he had a so called "dream". A good historical research ('unbiased and "unblinded"), will make most realise that modern Christianity today is largely based on Paul's work and sayings and not Jesus's teachings.
So do babies go to hell? No! Certainly not, they are sinless and if our Creator is a just and fair God, then babies certainly will go to Heaven. Simple as that!

Christianity is basically faith ! the youngster won't circulate to hell this is ressurected or grow to be a heavingly beeing there are distinctive possibilities because of the fact the youngster wasn't born one way it could likelly be born yet another additionally if it dies for the period of it start it additionally gets reborn as some thing or somebody many times this new child has it far greater useful than us because of the fact it could get a 2nd danger to be born as a heavingly beeing or ascend to Gods realm with a sparkling slate in comparison to us who's minds are formed in this certainty which makes issues greater durable to enable circulate whilst our time comes

I can't see how that assumption can be made. The Bible does not specifically tell us where infants and little children go when they die, but the Scriptural evidence leads me to believe that they all go to heaven if they have not yet reached an "age of accountability" (which is possibly a different age for different children since everyone matures at a different rate).

King David had a child by Bathsheba which died in infancy. David's words are significant: "While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live? But now he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me" (2 Samuel 12:22-23). The clear sense of this passage is that David believed that he would be reunited with his child in the next life. He knew the baby, having died, could not come back to this life, but he believed that he would go to him. While we can't be dogmatic that such a passage teaches infant salvation, yet it does seem to point in that direction!

But babies are still in the age of innocence. It is believed that when the rapture happens, all those who are still unable to tell wrong from right will go to heaven along with believers. This includes young children as well as the mentally disabled etc. It goes with the fact that everyone is born to God, but makes a choice to accept or reject him. Since those unable to think for themselves & cannot make that choice, they will not go to hell.

I don't think so. My cousin went into labor at 22 weeks and he died and I believe that he went to heaven. Babies are innocent. They're just born and have never done anything wrong so why would they go to hell. I think God would understand that they're too young to accept but loves regardless. I'm Catholic and our kids are baptized as babies before they can accept him themselves...since they're young and haven't accepted him is that wrong.

It is believed that babies who die go to heaven because they are babies and they have no clue who Jesus is and therefore cannot accept Him as their personal saviour.

That is where baptism comes into play: Depending on your beliefs, children who die and are not baptized are said to stay in limbo (I think). I think this is mostly a Catholic belief (I am not Catholic) Limbo meaning that if the child were to die it would be caught between heaven and hell.

But I am no expert.

Personally, I disagree. Jesus will take that infant into His Kingdom.

I remember the night my beloved cat was put down and I asked God to let me know when she as at peace. A little later, I had this overwhelming calm come over me and I knew right where my kitty was......... at home, with God.

So, think of the song, All Things Bright & Beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise & wonderful, the Lord God made them all.

Most Christians believe there is an "age of accountability" at which you understand or know the difference between right and wrong - so that until you reach that age, you are blameless in God's eyes, not responsible for your actions.

Babies do not go to hell.

I don't think God would send innocent little babies to hell.

They haven't commited any sins yet, so hypothetically, they're a pure soul. God wouldn't send them to hell, I hope.

And as for the not accepting jesus part...well...I really don't know. Perhaps the pure soul thing overrides it? This is a really good question.
