My fiance was placed in a permanent job by a staffing agency that pays 40,000/ yr, which is 10,000 more than her has ever made. He will also get profit sharing and regular raises. Health staffing agencies place people quite quickly and routinely. Perhaps you should learn a trade if you are having trouble finding employment. I have had two job offers through agencies that paid significantly more than those I found on my own.

Yes but not all agencies are good ones. My daughter got a wonderful job through an agency with a good company. They work better for professionals than clerical.

Yeah; quite a few. But here's a few hints on tips:
a) manage the agency. Chase them, don't wait to be contacted.
b) go for the shotgun approach and join as many as you want. Just make sure that they ask you before putting you forward for a role
c) make your own efforts as well. Look through the papers, industry specific websites, etc.
As and aside, put your CV onto Monster. Most agencies will trawl it for appropriate CVs. On which point, make sure that you have a good, concise CV.

I applied with several agencies as an attorney, and they were a huge waste of time. Healthcare jobs probably work better.

LOL you just looking for someone to blame because you can't apply yourself and make the job work for you. Having a job is a privilege and you should make the most of it even if it is mind numbingly boring. Bet you are under 24 in age

Yes, but only a crap job. From personal experience agencies don't give you good jobs.
