If your copy of XP is embedded in a restore disk set, then it will not work in another computer. If, on the other hand, it is a standard, legal copy of XP, then you should be able to install it in another computer. You will probably need to call Microsoft for a new registration.
A better solution would be to purchase a new hard drive for your Iqon machine.

I suggest that you upgrade your XP computer to Vista. Vista: Home cost $100, or for extra $60 you can buy Vista: Premium which is a whole lot better. Then somehow, capture your XP license that you booted out when you upgraded to Vista and use that for your other computer. But what if the upgrade versionwill destroy your XP license. I also suggest that you get help of a professional. These ideas are theoretical.

If the Windows XP was pre-installed (oem) on the first machine, it's license is not transfereable to another machine.
The license sticker should be permanently fixed to the box.
What you can do is to replace the hard drive (on the same machine) and re-install Windows XP.
Only the retail pack versions are transferable between one PC and another, but you have to remove it from the old one.

You can only install one copy of Windows on ONE computer. You could purchase an upgrade, but when going from a computer which was made for WinME to trying to use WinXP on it, you will probably end up with a much slower working computer! WinXP needs more RAM, faster processor, etc. so you are trying to push a lot of data thru tiny pipelines, which makes it run slower.
HTH : )

If you stay off line you can do what you want / work off line, but when you log on it will be detected as a pirated copy before long and blocked. You could lose access to your own original copy!!!. So be careful.
