I am

I don't because I believe in more that one God. I've got faith that someone or something out there is probably keeping an eye out for us and I believe in angels. But I don't believe that the Bible is necessarily really God's word. It was written by man and past down over thousands of years where man has added and conveniently omitted whatever was suitable for him. Plus you know how stories change from person to person in a week, think about how long these stories have had to change as well. Plus I don't feel the need to sit for hours while someone tells me that we're all going to Hell for this and that and then trying to tell us that God is a loving, forgiving god. Are we damned or are we saved?

I went to church for about 14 years and don't see any reason to go now. I always hated it. I was an agnostic for about the last 12 of those years. Now I am atheist.

I go to church and the reason is.
The Church is composed of all those who by faith have been united to the risen and ascended Son of God. The Church, which is distinct from Israel, began at Pentecost and will be completed at the coming of Christ for His own at the rapture. All believers in this age, whether Jews or Gentiles, are baptised by the Holy Spirit into Christ at conversion and so become one spiritual body of which Christ is the Head. The members of this Church are commanded to assemble in local churches for worship, instruction in the Word, fellowship, prayer and observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper. The commission of Christ to His Church is to communicate the gospel to both Jew and Gentile.

I do not expect to go to 'church' today due to the 7 deviations from God's word in many USA churches presently; with the added 'status quoism' of many of those people.

i go every week- even when i was bedridden for the past year. it took every ouce of energy to go and participate though. i go every time the church doors are open. i am getting sick again with something even more serious and still plan to attend. if i get too bad off i will stay home and praise the Lord with worship music. I'm not because none of my family will go with me. I could make them, but doesn't that defeat the purpose. I just treat people the way I would like to be treated, and that's every day. God bless you Yahoo readers!
