We always seem to be tossing around verses but I try so hard to make them apply to me each day and so if I hope in God, that means no matter what is happening to me, I know He is in control. But there are consequences of sin, if you kill someone, you won't get set free from prison just because you hope in God. So ???? in our daily lives, we are continally challenged by all kinds of things, and I think obedience to God means we have to listen very very very carefully and obey and then when we hope and are following His ways, HE really blesses us but maybe not in monetary ways or healing but in ways we need. How do you hope in the Lord in real words, in your own daily habits and examples ?

I try to remember what I've read in Jesus' teachings, what practical examples I hear in church sermons and even when I listen to Joyce Meyer.

Eventually, I get the gist of what God is trying to get across to me. I try to talk to God in prayer throughout the day about things I'm going through or thinking about.

Some days I don't talk to God during the day or even think of Him. When I realize I'm trying to do things by myself, it is like swimming against the current and It's more difficult. I feel free when I have faith and trust in God in everything I do. I just try to not forget to make Him a regular part of my life.

I personally believe that if we put all our trust in our Lord God for our daily living that the Lord will Bless us, I believe that we are blessed with things that we take for granted until which time that blessing would cease, then we recognize it for which it truly was. I fell if we are faithful in our giving to the Lords work then he will bless us, I have seen this work in my personal life. If I should fail to give then I wish I had of. I also have found that by my giving that just within a few days that money is returned to me, doubled. I know that our children are a blessing and if not taken care of can and will be taken for us
in one way or another, weather by death,drugs,ect...I believe that Jesus is the healer, and heals. I have experienced this in my life and daily living. I believe that the Lord protects us from bad things and bad people. I think a prayer life is very important to all believers and we should pray and be very thankful every day. You are very right, God is in control.

Wendy,

Good Morning....!

Perhaps these verses..... will shed Some Light... on Your Subject?

(Habakkuk 3:17-18-19) Though the fig tree shall not blossom, and fruit is not on the vines; the labor of the olive fails, and the fields yield no food. The flock is cut off from the fold, and no herd is in the stalls;

(Hab 3:18) yet I will rejoice in Jehovah, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

(Hab 3:19) Jehovah the Lord is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds' feet, and He will make me to walk on my high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

AND.....

(2Corinthians 4:16-17-18) For this cause we do not faint; but though our outward man perishes, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

(2Co 4:17) For the lightness of our present affliction works out for us a far more excellent eternal weight of glory,

(2Co 4:18) we not considering the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are not lasting, but the things which are not seen are everlasting.

AND.....

(Colossians 1:27) For to them God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,

MY HOPE.... is built on Nothing Less..... than Jesus Blood and Righteousness....!

Thanks, RR

I agree with oldguy.

To me hope in the Lord is recognition that this world is not our home; we are strangers in a strange land, just passing through on our way to a much better place.

A place of no tears, no pain, no suffering; a world of no war, no famine, no disease; where bad things never happen to good people and all things are made right.

And every day - I thank God that His Son has prepared a place for me there!

To hope in the Lord is to believe what he said about sin and the consequences that sin brings to us namely, death and the wrath of a Holy God in the future at his judgement. To hope in the Lord is to put trust in Him that "He alone" satisfied the demands of God for us and that "He alone" suffered the just wrath of God for us at his cross 2,000 year ago outside the city walls of Jerusalem. Therefore, we have been delivered from this wrath to come. This is the good news of the Gospel.

Christ's kindgom is not on this earth and neither is the Christians' kingdom. We do not get our blessings here, and we do not get them from works. We follow God's ways and we get trampled down, exactlly the same way as Christ did. Paul says "7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; 8 we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus' sake..." We should be looking to serve the Lord, not looking for blessings. Our blessings are waiting for us in heaven. Ephesians 1: 3 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ," Where are our blessings??? In the heavenly places.

faith isn't a concept. faith is believing in a concept. it particularly is the verb variety of concept. God is a concept, with the aid of fact devoid of any info, God remains a theory. Theories are purely ideals. working example, I truthfully have a concept that the universe is increasing, in different words, I truthfully have a theory that the universe is increasing. notwithstanding, theories do in many situations have some style of observational understanding at the back of them. Now, you do no longer be conscious of God quickly. you think you be conscious of him, on account which you think you have specific reference to him, on account which you think he exists. it is in actuality, a concept.
