POOR BAB-IE!! I mean that for you too!! Get some white starchy RICE. Boil it with some sugar, but make sure you leave some of the water in the rice. TRY and get her to eat it - the rice tends to calm diarrhea down, and she desperately needs all the water she can get. Also, try giving her some "Pedia - light" plain water for babies - it is in the children's drug isle of any drug store. It has the electrolytes and other things that get lost when diarrhea is present.

Hope everything works out OK!!!

Replace its water with the baby non-flavored pediolyte, this will replace any electrolytes it has lost with the diarrhea. Also you can give your pet about 1/3 teaspoon of pepto bismol every 4 to 6 hrs.If your pet hasn't been wormed lately ,you may reworm it with a safe dewormer called Panacur of which can be purchased at any vet clinic, but this is given by weight and for three days in a row.If this doesn't help see your vet for a fecal,as other things can cause diarrhea.

When you say she has diarrhea, is it just loose stools or the squirts? If the squirts have been going on for 4 days you really need to get her to an emergency clinic, she's so tiny and is probably dehydrated. Don't feed her wait to see what the vet says. Good luck.

Diarrhea for 4 days!!! Wow!! Seriously, you need to get your dog to the vet.....and emergency vet. Yes, today is Sunday, but what about Thursday and Friday when all of this started. I just went through something similar to this with my 8 lb. maltese and I drove to an emergency vet in the middle of the night, because my vet told me he would dehydrate quickly because of his size. The next day, he was still sick, but I took him to my regular vet the next morning and he was admitted into the hospital overnight to get hydrated again. She gave it a special dog food to eat for 2 weeks, along with a diet of hamburger and rice (boiled). We also got medication for it. You need to find out what's wrong before your try giving your dog any over the counter medications. Call an emergency vet TODAY.....the dog is much to small to wait any longer! And....best of luck!!!!!

Umm 1.7 pound yorkie?
I think she needs to see the vet sooner then tomorrow. She is very tiny and I worry that she would become very dehydrated and get low sugar.
She is very fragile.
Please get her to the vet sooner then tomorrow.
Call and see if the vet has any referral numbers on their answering machine.

Don't give her Pepto Bismol unless you are absolutely desperate. It contains an ingredient that is the same as
aspiring. It's hard on their stomach, and depending on why she has diarrhea, it could make things worse.

You should give her some canned pumpkin, NOT the
pie filling the regular plain old pumpkin. Offer her lots of fresh clean water. If she is not drinking, then get her some Pedialyte and give her some of that. Not only does it help them to stay hydrated, but it helps them use the water they do drink, more efficiently.

Did you change her food or give her a treat for the 1st time? GIve her water for 1 day, then slowly feed her white rice with boiled chicken. Her stoles will begin to get solid.
