Christianity is the dominant religion in the Western world. Atheists generally are not vocal outside of the Western world. Thus, atheists most often criticize the most dominant religion.

On top of that, listen to some of the things Christians say about atheists. Having grown up in the Bible Belt and dealing with everything from teasing to threats against my life for my atheism, I find it difficult at times not to take it out on all of them.

Muslims work together ? Sure, when you're not blowing each other up. Anyway, I side with Christians (I'm an atheist) b/c I realize that Islam is the bigger threat to my existence and the welfare of humanity. If we ever rid the world of Islam or even just quarantine it in the diseased little countries it's already ruined, I'll happily move to Canada or Australia and let the thumpers have America.

It's all a vicious cycle that will always continue through out time, don't be bothered Christians are against each other also because they have different doctrines to fit their religion, what is a sin in one religion is not a sin in another religion, some teach that they are going to heaven, some teach that we are going to inherit the earth, some believe in a man made 3 headed God[TRINITY} some believe not, it's all confusing when you have over 3,000 different religions teaching different ways to be saved. Some have even condoned sins that the bible condemns, Curtis Mayfield once stated in one of his songs, If there's a hell below , were all going to go.

You are saying:

Atheists are against Christians.
Christians offend Muslims AND atheists.
Muslims are against atheists.

Do you think Muslims are against Christians?

How can you generalize like this?

You cannot lump everyone together like this.

I am not against atheists or Muslims.
I get sad when some atheists say that all Christians are stupid idiots for believing in God. That's unkind and closed-minded.

I get sad when some Christians are rude to atheists.

I try not to offend Christians I ask what I think is reasonable questions, it's just some of them can't accept what I am asking and I get a report for it.

I try to make an honest debate and show them the Bible is not really Gods words it is of man and man alone. And I say I ask these with respect.

Quite a few atheists on this forum are generally surrounded by Christians and have daily interactions with them. So naturally they tend to criticize what they are most familiar with.

Me, I do not spare Islam or Judaism. I do, however, prefer that criticisms of either to be accurate...as opposed to the blatant misinformation many Christians spout about it. Islam has enough real issues to take on without making up truely paranoid stuff.

Christianity is an easy target.

Most people know more about Christianity than Islam. Personally I don't waste the time to comment on Islam. Neither has great support or philosophy. I've tacked Judaism in a few questions. I tend to leave Hinduism alone because the philosophy is pretty good. I don't know enough about paganism to be a good judge of it.... I could go on.

Any theist is against atheism by definition. We are on opposite sides of the argument. If you are asking why do people on here insult and antagonize people who do not believe in their religion? Well, the answer to that is that some people are selfish and ignorant.

Christianity was born out of Judaism, so was Islam, they both hold the OT with reverence but both demand that they are themselves the followers of the Prophets of Judaism.

Jesus was seen as a false Prophet by the Jews, Mahomet's was seen as a false Prophet of the OT. the Qur'an says that Jesus prophesied Mahomet's coming. Christians believe that with he Resurrection of Christ the prophesy was fulfilled and thus supersedes Judaism.
Islam teaches that the divine unity, Christianity teaches the Trinity of the Logos.
Atheism teaches to be free from the books of men and free yourself from its subjugation, thus Atheist are hated by all religions.
As an Atheist myself, I believe that they are both being manipulated by the organisations that interpreted the original text of the scriptures.

edit; though I will say that Islam teachings are purer than the teaching of the NEW testament, for it has not changed (that much) since it was written by Mahomet, that being that they believe that Mahomet actually put pen to paper. Apparently Jesus was to big to do that, thus we are sufficated in a plethora of interpretations of interpretation.

in short Islam is the word of the Prophet Mahomet, given to him by Allah.
Christianity is the word of the Pauline Doctrine, a vision of Christ given to the Apostle Paul after the death of jesus, which over the centuries has usurped the word of Jesus the Prophet.
