Unfortuantely, 1 in 6 pregnancies that mom knows about will end in miscarriage (some believe that there are even more miscarriages that mom doesn't know about - these are miscarriages that occur before mom misses her first period). For this reason, it's tragic but not unusual for someone to have two miscarriages in a row.

Generally, the OB/GYN's don't worry unless a woman has had three or more miscarriages. If three happen, they'll often start testing/workup.

Best wishes for the future.

I am sorry for your losses. I know how difficult it is especially when you cannot get a specific answer as to why. After I had my 4th miscarriage in a row, I was classed as a "high-risk" pregnancy. It was then that the tests were being done and I was monitored and given extra ultrasounds. I did have a girl after that. While it is true that women who have multiple miscarriages are at risk, don't give up. Please talk to your doctor again. I know that being told "it's normal" just wasn't a good enough answer. It wasn't for me. Good luck to you.

I'm really sorry to hear this :(.

If you are having repeated miscarriages, your MD needs to evaluate to see WHY you are having them. Talk with him about running tests to see if he can determine the reason for the repeated miscarriages. If he is unwilling, then please, find another MD who will help you!

Good luck to you!
