My husband has weekend visitation with his 2 sons age 15 & 10. His oldest son is 19 now. about a year ago, we learned from the oldest that his mom had threw a birthday party for him in which she provided alcohol & pot. The youngest boys were there, pics were taken. We enlarged the pic, showing a young boy (not ours) smoking pot with them. We reported this to childrens service. They investigated (so they said) then told us it is not illegal for a parent to give their child alcohol. They just sort of blew off the pic. Over past year we heard rumors the boys are left alone alot while she goes to bars & she drinks daily. We have the boys this weekend. The 15 yr old called her to talk to her last night, I didnt know he was on phone, accidentally picked up heard her screaming cussing him. She was drunk. He cried says dont want to live there, she does this alot & when she is in bar He walks little brother around town. She has parties til 4 am school nite brings strangers home.

Go straight round to a lawyer, and apply for custody. If you are short of room, get them to a responsible relation. I hope you have kept the picture as evidence. It not illegal to give a child a bit of alcohol, such a glass of wine with Sunday lunch, but pot is supplying drugs. You also need to show the picture to this boy's parents.

They are all old enough to give evidence against her, and the oldest is an adult in his own right. She is putting their lives in danger, and you need to get them out now, because if anything happened, you will spend the rest of your life wishing you did.

Document all you know, then file for custody. With help from your court clerks office you can do it yourself, but would be better if you could get a lawyer. Also having an open house party with minors there drinking is not legal. Do the kids live in the town you do or close enough by that the next time mom goes off drinking and takes them they can call you to come get them? Tell them to even call collect if they have too. They sound like good kids and need to be out of that situation before they start getting into trouble.

get them out of there before they are hurt or killed by her bad behavior or one of the strangers she brings home if she is doing things like this im sure these strangers are not the best people and god only knows what they could do to the children while she is drunk and im sure pot is not the only drug in the house get the police involved call the school and social services but get them out asap

Sad Mom hopefully you and your man can get responsibility of these kids as it sounds like a very unhealthy environment in which they are living with their natural mother. It is going to be a lot of work trying to get custody and may end up costing you a lot of money also. Speak with a lawyer and see what they would recommend as far as going for permanent custody. Best of luck to you, your husband and the kids.

from time to time you in simple terms ought to chew the bullet, in an attempt to talk. tell your mom and clarify what occurred. She'll in all threat be offended for a whilst yet she would be in a position to forgive you for telling her and not conserving it from her. i could tell in the previous she found out from somebody else.
