well, as for me, i don't see anything wrong about it... so what if you still sleep with your parents..? does it make you less of the person you are..?
though i don't sleep with my parents, i don't see anything wrong about it... it's just an unwritten social rule made by some people i bet you don't even know... so, why would that matter, right..? it's not up for them to dictate social norms...
it's alright as long as you are able to stand on your own two feet and don't become overly dependent on them...
g0od luck..!

Honey it is best you DO NOT sleep with your parents, age 12 is too old. Do you have your own bed room? If not sleep on the couch every night instead. During the day you will spend time with them. I never slept with my parents.

i'm thirteen. once in a great while, when i have a nightmare, or in the mornings (on weekends) i'll sleep with my parents. but i have learned to cope with things like nightmares & such on my own, & i am proud of myself for doing so.
i love sleeping in my own room, in my own bed. maybe you could get some new stuff for your room/bed to make yourself more comfortable sleeping alone? & learn little tricks that comfort you, e.g. soft music, nightlights, a stuffed animal, certain sleeping positions... (i myself leave the blinds open. it leaves these streams of light that are quite pretty. :) ) for instance, you fall asleep to tv in the living room...
don't listen to anyone here that says you aren't normal, 'cause that's not true. its nice & comfortable to sleep with your parents. but what happens once you go to college, or to an overnight camp? your gonna get homesick!

No it is not alright. Sleeping with your parents has nothing to do with LOVE, and spending time with them. It is just being selfish. You and your parents can spend waking hours together going out and doing things. You say that you love your parents well than how about giving them time to spend with each other, without you. Coming from a mother of two I would have kick your butt long time ago. Your parents are married to each other not you and them. This is their time to connect and love each other. GET OUT OF THEIR BED, you are too old.

You are definitely too old to be sleeping with your parents. It doesn't matter how much you love your parents, sleeping in the same bed with them doesn't show them that.
Since you haven't mentioned your background, I don't know if sleeping with your parents at your age is the norm or not. In North America we encourage our children to sleep in their own beds right from the start (although we all experience having our children with us on and off when they are very young).

Your poor parents...
My little sister did that until she was 5! and still, people said 5 years old was too old!
You can spend as much time as you want with them - but at night, you should sleep in your own bed...

no its not ok- what are you going to do when its time to cut the string- probably live with mommy and daddy until your 30. a normal 12 year old does not sleep with his parents, and normal parents don't let you

Personally, no. But it varies with people. If my daughter wanted to come in early in the morning, this would be fine. However, she would have her own bed and know that that is where she is to stay. If there was a bad, scary storm she would certainly be welcome.

please, sleep in your own room.
sleeping with parents is one of the unhealthiest things i can think of.
your parents need their privacy, and you really do need to learn to sleep alone at night -- so do it.
i have a hard time believing you really do this, but whatever.
