At your age it could be a sign of a vitamin deficiency and/or severe stress.

Steve Martin (whose hair turned white in his 30's) once said in an interview that if he took vitamins his hair darkened.

all of these guesses I am reading.... oh brother.
White hair at your age can be very normal. As with any real questions regarding your health, consult your doctor. However, are you having just a few white hair (normal) or are you losing your hair and it's growing back all white? Hair has different types of melanin (color pigment) in it... eumelanin, pheomelanin and allomelanin. These are basically formed from proteins in the blood. If there is a problem with protein consumption, it can cause a problem with your hair, such as loss or a different pigmentation, which is why people undergoing treatments such as chemo lose their hair. Single grey or white strands however are cause by a air space between the hair bulb and root in the follicle. This air space is normal and there is nothing you can do about it besides coloring your hair or using a demi-permanent color for grey-blending. I wish you luck!

the reason why your hair is turning white could be because of stress levels, or your diet.

it's not an abnormality, take a walk around my school, and you'll see many people who have the same condition.

to turn it black again, dye it back, spray it black, and eat healthy. some people atttribute it to the fast-food culture.

I had this happen when I was taking medications although I was already a blonde so it pretty much made my hair almost clear... and my hair has still not regained its full color .. I just dye it and move on ... You could try seeing a doctor and find out if something is wrong or if it's just naturally turning white

Once hair goes white, it won't grow black again. Hair doesn't actually "turn" white, it just starts growing without any pigmentation.

There are some natural hair dyes like Henna, that my Indian neighbors use. She has this smelly lotion she makes homemade, pretty stinky, but gets hair shiny black.

At 16 seems a little young although I knew a guy who had salt and pepper hair by teh time he was 21. You might ask a doctor if there is any nutritional problem and get a check up. He can best tell you if everything is OK

Hi. My cousin has the same problem. Unfortunately he has already gray hair at 14. Had no choice but to color his hair black. He maintains it every 3 months.

To know more about this, best consult your doctor.

Maybe it is how you are supposed to look.
If Steve Martin or Lee Marvin had normal colored hair they would just still be "Joe Blow from Kokomo".

Are you healthy? Do you have any physical problems or are you going through extreme stress?

It is unusual, although my mom told me she began to go gray at age 18!

If you are healthy, then think of it as being unique, because those who see it sure won't think you are old!!

Right? Celebrate your one-of-a-kind status!

NO CURE. Dye it black, or live with it. I had a friend that it happened to.
