Actually, when i speak normally i start stammering, it is not that i am scared or anything, it just comes naturally. Suppose i want to say something to someone which is very urgent i cannot say it fast, the words dont come out fast, i have to open my mouth for some time till the word comes.

I don't know of an "easy method" but several of my uncles and cousins used the book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" by The Stuttering Foundation of America and overcame their stuttering by working through the steps in the book and practice. There is a medication where they are asking for people to sign up for Phase III trials called Pagoclone. You could sign up here and see if you get in http://www.indevus.com/site/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=53&Itemid=58

Formerly i was a bad stammerer. but now i am speaking more confidently. stammering happens when there is no proper co-ordination of the mind and tongue. your mind is thinking so fast that it does not co-ordinate well with tongue. so always think and speak. never ever hurry. speak slowly and steadily. always when reading read slowly and you should be able to listen to your voice. do this slow reading practice at home or when you are alone. Stammering is in the mind not in the mouth. it is just a physological problem. so you got to control your mind. It is a self exercise. a doctor might help you to some extent. but remember one thing.......you have to cure it yourself. your sub-concious mind is full of bad stammering encounters. so you got to get rid of all these thoughts. without getting rid of all these negative thoughts you cant get rid of stammering. always think positively. keep telling yourself "I can speak fluently". stammering...... is itself a long confused word .try breaking it to some nearby words as stemiring...and like that u cope up to nearby words slowly and slowly and slowly to match the perfect words....but its is a slow process and forget that u ever stammer.....and say what u think ....never process in ur mind what u are going to say....try to open up thoughts to every one ....talk to flowers ,try taking statues sing a song .....just express urself atlast stammering is certain type of speech defect its not hormonal imbalance.......just dont give up..try living live normally........................i know the word try is too hard to try.......but confidence do win wars Stammering that is situational, is more of an anxiety response, otherwise it tends to happen in most situations. It is seen that in situations where the person is very anxious about the self, and the way one is going to speak, and how others would perceive the persons speaking. Also in anxiety, in high performing situations, in anger, when the person tries to speak loudly or fast, then the chances of stammering increase. So to reduce the stammering, you need to ensure that you are relaxed, for that learn relaxation exercises. Also make it a point to speak softly, and slowly, rhythmically in these situations. Also you need to remind yourself that you can speak normal as you do so in social situations, so when you are with your boss, think on what to speak rather than how you shall speak. Go confident and relaxed. It has been seen that people who have situational anxiety also benefit from medications. My advise is that you take a consultation for a psychiatrist as well, as that would be beneficial. All The Best Surely You will get recover from this

stammering can somtimes be helped by thinking of somthing that angers you just before you speak [eventualy your brain will rewire through this path and the stammer will improve] this trick has helped me but i found it very hard to put it into practice.
some people can sing perfectly , so you can try putting what you have to say in a rythum or to soft notes [this did not help me] when my daughter was 3 she said you make a bad noise daddy [she is in collage now] and i still make bad noises when i try to sing, oh well. good luck and if this dosn't help i hope you at least got a laugh

hmmm....

i think this could help you:

1) practice some familiar verses first; they can be as short as "hello" or "good morning"... or "how are you?" ... anything that is frequently used.

2) as you perfect the familiar ones then try a little harder ones like, "something seems to be troubling you, can i be of some help?" or others with about the same length of words.

3) if you see that you improved already, try reading some news articles aloud... they can help because they generally use simple words that are not that hard to pronounce...

4) then, try out a few tongue twisters that may help your tongue to be able to coil quicker... i suggest the tongue twister about Peter Piper... if you perfect that, it can really help a lot to you lessen your stammering because of all the P's...

5)after you noticed that you have made some improvements,
start practicing to say things without stammering... slow first then repeat it over and over again in your head and then with your mouth...

i think, I've said enough... now why don't you try it yourself...
may God help you...
