i think you're on to something here. really, we should get together, start a forum and eventually lead to a weird cult following of this line in the often misinterpreted Bible based upon public service campaigns about the danger of STD's and the like--anything to protect the junk. Then, as we leave the set of The View about our wonderful service, we move towards banning vasectomies, except for convicted molesters.
Lest we forget that Genesis 11:30 (New International Version) states clearly:
"Now Sarai was barren; she had no children." Proof right there that it would be bad to allow vasectomies. We'd have the male vote for sure and possibly some pro-choicers and those cooky but beloved 'help spread our seed' people that are few and far between. The fan club memberships from these spin-off campaigns alone would be worth the fractional relation between the verse's meaning and my assumption, right?

You are looking at something that was in the law time, We are now under grace, Therefore it does not make any difference if you loose both testicals, If you are born again you will go to heaven, You also have to also notice that verse you mentioned did not say you could not go to heaven, it only said you could not go into the congregation of the lord or the temple.

That was referring to the grouping of certain people back then for performing ceremonial acts. One must hear the word of God ( Romans 10:17 ) to have a chance to enter in to heaven . ( John 3:3 )

That's Old Testament. Remember Jesus came to fulfill the old law and to establish a new law. That's one of the reasons the Pharisees were so resentful. The New Testament reaches out to all who would accept Jesus as personal Savior--no mention of physical deformities barring acceptance. When you consider that Jesus reached out to all the people who were were deemed "unfit",(remember the Pharisees complaining that he interacted with "sinners" too much? To them, as a Rabbi, he should have been upholding the Mosaic laws) you can be assured that He will reach out for you, too, if you contract such a disease.

Of course you can. Our bodies will be resurrected in a more perfect form, not the broken worn-out model that's going to end up in the ground.

Someone who was missing a nut couldn't have entered into the holy of holies in the temple to be in the presence of the Lord here on earth, but that's all that's referring to.

1. That's under the Old Covenant.
2. That was about who could enter the Holy of Holies in the Temple.

It has nothing to do with heaven or hell.

WHAT? Are you NUTS! (sorry I could not help myself!)

Actually, the Laws in Duteronomy were for the Jewish people and more than this it was for entering the Tabernacle not heaven. Beyond this I cannot shed any light on the subject.

That's not true. In the idol worshiping culture in which Israel lived, (at that time) some would emasculate or mutilate themselves as acts of devotions to their gods. Since God wanted his people to avoid any practice associated with the worship of others gods, He prohibited such things. God didn't want theses people in his Church. He didn't say that they could not go to heaven if the repented.

They were talking about those eunuchs not men with diseased parts. The congregation of the Lord was the Temple.
