Sometimes a War cannot be avoided, Such as WW 2 when we look back at the Evil that was done, in particular to the Jewish People. However, as Christians we should do all in our Power to try and Prevent a war. We should not go to war for selfish gains, or to Control a Nation, for our own Greed or Need. Many wars are started when talking and seeking a way forward could prevent War.

No. Only Armageddon.

2Corinthians 10:3-5 shows our warfare is spiritual, against wicked spirit forces, not among men. This means our weapons are mental, spiritual. Hebrews 5:12-14 shows the Word of God is sharper than a two-edged sword.

Jesus made it clear when he said he was no part of the world and his followers were no part of the world. No we all have to live here but not take any part in its politics just as Jesus and 1st century Christians did not. (John 15:19; 17:16)

We are to love one another with strong bonds of principled love. Our brothers are in every country. How can a Christian fight another country without harming a brother?

But nevertheless I am a Christian opposed to the IRAQ war. We should have gone in with more troops, more force, more will to win - in short order. Americans in general do not support long drawn-out wars.

We like our wars to be more "tidy" - neat, quick and bloodless.

Seems they do that all the time so apparently. Besides, the Christians are the ones that are supporting the Shrub and the Iraq war.

Christians are told not to be of this world. They are told that the ruler of this world is Satan.

Do we really want to fight for Satan? If we really belong to God's Kingdom and are ambassadors, or envoys for Christ can we fight for an other country than Christ's?

I thought that ambassadors supported their own country exclusively!

What does it mean when Paul says that our weapons are not fleshly, but spiritual?

What does it mean to love your neighbor as yourself?

What does it mean to exercise love, faith, and peace.

What does it mean that all those killing shall themselves be killed (Revelation), and JC said, that those taking up the sword shall be killed by the sword!

What does it mean to love your enemies? Do I do that best by killing him?
