so is the way to heaven? ever think they are the same place? god is not petty enough to punish us for our ignorance.

we stumble through life like blind kittens doing the best we can and when our life finally ends we are cast into fire because we wandered the wrong way.
WHAT A FABULUS GOD!
is a your god worth worshipping?

I AM NOT an atheist. I just question conventional logic. Asking questions and nod being blind does not mean you are an atheist. it just means you are not a fool.
And spouting scripture at someone who it means nothing to mean just that nothing.
I do not believe in a god that breeds HATRED. And that’s what your fallacy does.

How do i know the bible is also not a lie? Only because you tell me?
The bible is not the ultimate word. or even the last. if god wants to talk to me he can. and he does. but not through a book written by ignorant men.

What gets me is the whole concept that man has given to the word "hell"!!! What a misinterpretation! The word "HELL" means "to cover or conceal"... It also means "the grave"... In medieval times, they put their potatoes and meats in 'hell"... to keep for the winter...

There is no such thing as "hell fire and damnation" as the lying pulpits exclaim so vehemently. Every one alive will go through a period of purification or cleansing of sin...

1 Corinthians 3:13-15 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

1 Timothy 2:3-4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have ALL men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

I could go on, but not enough time or space here.
Best Wishes

This saying is very true! How many people have you spoken to who will tell you that they are O.K. and they have always "done the right thing" or "I'm kind to my neighbor" etc., etc., It's a tragedy that so many people will end up in hell because they fail to address the problem that sends them there in the first place. The very thing that separates us from the Lord is sin. We are all born physically with a condition which separates us from the Lord. we all have sin in the flesh. Jesus said that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God and that's why He said to Nicodemus that "ye must be born again" this means we must experience a new birth, a spiritual birth which occurs when we believe in Jesus Christ. At this point we are sealed up with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30) Romans Ch.3 v.22 also tells us that we have god's righteousness given to us when we believe. How hard is it to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved? The apostle Paul mentions that the way of salvation is so simple that many would stumble at the simplicity in Christ. tragically today, we have people trying to get into heaven by their works hence the saying in your question; "the road to hell is paved with good intentions"

Do you consider yourself ignorant? I don't believe that you are. Why are you searching for answers, whether publicly or inside yourself? There must be a reason you even asked this question. Let alone make such a statement about God. If you are curious about the roads leading to heaven or hell, pick up the Bible and study it. One thing God says in his word is, study to show yourself approved. "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15

No, I believe the saying is supposed to mean that even though there are good intentions (in their own eyes.) involved, and they didn't know any better when they should've, then you can still go to hell for killing someone else. Like how,

-the christians killed millions "in the name of the lord".
-the KKK lynched black people because they thought they were "purging the land".
-etc.

These people thought they were doing good when they killed millions of people, but they should've known better than to kill others. Especially when they're christian, what with the ten commandments (that of which not many follow these days ANYWAY.) and all that they're supposed to know and obey.

Wow, I am saddened that you have missed the entire point of being a Christian. The thing is we are not saved by our deeds alone, yes we need to live a life devoted to Jesus Christ and in doing so we are going to be moved to do good things. However, if we have not repented of our Sins, professed our devotion to Jesus Christ and lived a life full of love and dedication to the Lord God than yes I guess you could say the Road to Hell is paved with Good Intentions. Love and Serve Jesus Christ for he alone is the way to Heaven.

I don't believe in hell. I believe we make our own hell her on earth.

Besides, Jesus says that everyone will be forgiven, even Satan.

BTW, the original quote was "the road to ruination is paved with good itentions."

It means that due to ignorance, despite your intentions your "help" or actions might not be any help at all.

The classical joke about the scout helping an old lady of the street. The old lady then whack the scout, telling him that she was waiting for the bus, that just left.

Here we go again *drink* standard atheist logic.

"I don't believe in God therefore God doesn't exist but I know that God is not petty enough to punish us for our ignorance".

How about listening to the words of the Son of God for a change = "Not everyone who says to me Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven....broad is the way and wide is the gate that leads to destruction and many will enter therein....then they will go to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

If you really believe that statement then you have more faith in the unknown than I have in God. God may let somethings slide but the penalties of sin is not one of them. That is why Christ had to die for us so we wouldn't have to. If you know this and choose not to accept Him as your personal savior then your in for a rude awakening

True, bad enough god has this whole hell concept anyway, but what's with doing it to people who have good intentions but get things wrong etc? Even nastier.
