Why don't you just read the Bible? I am not asking you to believe it. Just read it. Jesus was not God. He was the son of God. It is crystal clear!

Hi. This is what i have been asking in some of my Answers.
I find it unbelievable when i see all their explanations, and they say they are quoting from the Bible. There are three Divine Persons in the one God :Father,Son,Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God. Christians can not agree who Jesus is.That is why there are so many incorrect answers. But this does not seem to matter to them .Each one believes they have the correct information. But they can't see how ridiculous they look to someday who is asking a question about Jesus and they give all different answers.
I am a Christian also.

Because Jesus said over and over that he is the Son of God... with all the limitations and restrictions of a son, for Christ's sake! In fact he doesn't even know when he has to come back unless his Father tell him that it is time for him to come back to Earth!
Mark 13:32 (NIV) "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, NOR THE SON, but only the Father.
So much for Jesus' omniscience... When Jesus was telling his Jewish followers that they wouldn't died before they see him coming back he was teasing them...
Matthew 16:28 (NIV) I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."
He was going to die anyway and it never happened! This is the main reason why the believing Jews got so p-ssed off at him that they just drop out. The Heathenistic Romans and Greeks picked it up and gave Christianity to the world! Christians are now expecting Jesus to return by 2012...

Jesus was God in the flesh.
John 10:30
"I and the Father are one."
John 14:6-7
Jesus answered, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
"If you really knew Me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him."
Revelation 22:12-13
"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."

Here is the foundation of both views.
John 1
Prologue: Christ, the Eternal Word
1 In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
2 He existed in the beginning with God.
3 God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
4 The Word gave life to everything that was created,
and his life brought light to everyone.
5 The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.
6 God sent a man, John the Baptist, 7 to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. 8 John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light. 9 The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
10 He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. 11 He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. 12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.
14 So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

Have you ever heard of the Trinity?
That's what us Christians believe in.
That means that there's the holy spirit, God (the father) and Jesus who died for our sins. All we have to do is believe in him!
It's kinda like an egg; the shell, the yolk and the white, all come together as one.
Not the simplest thing to understand, that's why it's so great! We know that no human could've simply made this up, it's real!
As long as we trust and believe that Jesus died for us, one day we'll be able to ask for ourselves.
For more info, feel free just to visit your local church.
They'll be able to answer any of your questions!
Good luck

A human begets a human son.
A lion begets a lion son.
God begets a divine Son. The Son of God is not God the Father, but He is God. He is divine.
The Bible says that Jesus is "the only begotten" Son of God.
Pretty well all Christians believe that Jesus is God. Ifthey do not they are not considered Christans. Groups like JW's and Mormons that do not believe He is God are normally called "cults" not Christans.

The way it was explained to me is you have The Father, Son & The Holy Spirit. Jesus the son is simply God coming to earth in human form. And when He returned to the Father He sent His Spirit to take His place down here.
The truth is you can't explain the unexplainable. Thats where Faith comes in.
God Bless!!!

you sound surprised that you got nonsense from christians. lol No one knows those answers... actually the clean up from the great lies of the past are just beginning... and with the balance will come answers... those claiming to know are lying... they don't have a clue...but the evil they served didn't care about truth... religions are made to create enough confusion to give the evil one power.

I guess people refer to Jesus as God, because Jesus was not a normal human being - he was a divine, spiritual being, who worked directly under the Lord.
People also claim that Jesus was God's son...because that is what it says in the Bible.

I can see why an 18 year old atheist would be easily confused. Perhaps you should speak to your base chaplain.
