Now, here's a twist on etiquette! Usually if you are inviting guests over for breakfast, then you're responsible for all the food! However, being the kind and generous person I am, I'd offer to bring a dish to help out. And, if you were non-committal about what to bring here are some that I've made successfully for breakfasts before:
1. Apple and cream cheese crepes
2. Scalloped potatos au gratin with bacon, cheese and green onions (great hangover breakfast stuff!)
3. Artichoke frittata
4. Breakfast streudal with sausage, eggs, and cheese
5. Cinnamon streusal coffee cake
6. Good coffee!
7. Orange juice and champagne for mimosas
8. Hot cinnamon rolls
9. Baked ham for slicing
10. Creamy scrambled eggs with fontina

Is it an invitation for breakfast by you or is it an offer for all to come an share their breakfasts with all those present. Only in the latter case would the question be appropriate. In the earlier, at least I would consider as an insult if somebody brings something along as an affront to my capacity. Cannot I arrange for breakfast for all these invitees and also some other s who may come along with them.It would be a breach of social etiquette.

Mmm I love breakfast - my favourite meal of the day! I'd bring some Salish Lodge Pancake Mix from the hotel by Snoqualmie Falls here near Seattle. Yummiest pancakes ever. I'd also bring some fresh blackberries to put on them - yum!!!!

Though I'd love to come to breakfast and would no doubt bring waffle iron, waffle "fixins" and fruit, I'd also stand you up in a New York skinny minute if JennyP and/or Emeralds asked me as well! LOL!

Since I go overboard on everything....I would bring:
Eggs (for scrambling - I can't fry them dammit)
English Muffins (because they are so much better than toast)
Butter (because no meal can start without REAL butter)
Bacon (you can't have breakfast without it...)
Grits (even if you don't know what they are, if I made them, yum)
Pancake Mix (you have to have something sweet)
Orange Juice (need that good ol Vitamin C)
Milk (even if it is too damn expensive at the moment)
Me (the most important element of any meal :>)
