Yes blaspheming the Holy Spirit is the only unforgivable sin. My pastor said if you are not sure if you have done this or not and are worried about it, RELAX. You would definitely know if you committed this sin. Any other sin that you have committed, no matter how bad, is forgive able. Just ask God to forgive you and He will. According to God He will never bring it up again. If your sin was a crime you may still be punished by the law of the land but God will forgive you instantly, just ask.

If you are to read the context of the verse where you found that blaspheming the Holy Spirit being unforgivable sin. We see that Christ is performing miracles...the work of God yet they have not acknowledged the work of God instead attributed Jesus wonders and miracles as works of Beelzebul and Jesus being one of the followers of the devil...that is the unforgivable sin. Now, sinning wilfully and knowing in the end that God will forgive you is an abuse of God's goodness and kindness...the reason why you are guilty...thinking that what you have done is the unforgivable sin is primarily because you willfully sin.
Let us first look at it at the human level...if a friend of yours continues to do the same mistake to you...will he still be your friend? How long will it take for you to teach him a lesson so not to abuse your kindness....God is patient...but if you continue to be abusive and stubbornly, willfully sin...then expect discipline...because I do not believe if you are truly a Christian that you will continully keep on sinning....if you love God then you will cease from committing the same mistake or again willfully commit the same sin again and again and again....don't wait to be disciplined..it hurts yes...but always with loving correction.

It's not clear from your question what sin you've committed. The Bible says the only unforgivable sin is blaspheming the Holy Spirit. If you did not do that, then ask God for forgiveness and don't do whatever you did again. God bless you.

The Bible talks about willfully sinning, which I think is what you did based on what you say. You sinned knowing that god will forgive you for a sin that you are fixing to commit knowing that the only unforgivable sin is baspheming the Holy Ghost. That is what is meant by the term willfully sinning. I believe that if you understand this, repent from that sin (never doing it again), and pray for God to help you and give you power over such things, that he will forgive you and help you to resist the sinning devices of the devil. But you have to be sincere, God knows where you heart is.

The unforgivable sin is a theological mystery, but I believe I may be able to help.
I liken that to another verse theologians dont know what to make of.
4It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, 6if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because[b]to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. -Hebrews 6:4-6
People have taken the verse of the "unforgivable sin" to mean to ascribe evil to the holy work of Gods spirit but I think there is something more to that. Who among us who were once Gods enemies mistook his goodness for wrong?
Rather, I view the unforgivable sin as a turning away, rejection, and betrayal of God by people that have recieved the truth in full and that have for whatever reason turned against it, like Satan. Those type of people reject repenetence at that point. So a good analogy that the author uses is the death of Jesus. If knowing how great Jesus was and is, and after having accepted him, would someone dare to try to put him to death again? What they are doing is rejecting the testimony of the Holy Spirit which was given to them personally as well as Christ, and God the Father himself and are therefore guilty of a crime that is hard to fathom.
You on the other hand have a heart of repenetence. Do so, and move on with your faith in Christ doing the things he said to do. Know that Jesus is the son of God, be emmersed (if you havent already) and live faithfully and you will have nothing to fear.

Hi there,
The unforgivable sin will come without repentance. The person or thing(Satan) that commits the 'unforgivable sin' will never ask God for forgiveness.
Satan has an unrepentant spirit, he will go to the end and face destruction.
You on the other hand have admitted that you have done something wrong and you are seeking to put it right, right?
You are gonna be ok,
Most people think that when Jesus went to the cross and died he 'just' took away our sins......but He did more than that....... He gave us His righteousness.
If you believe that Jesus died and God raised Him from the dead and you have (verbally) asked Jesus to be your Saviour then the righteousness of Jesus is part of that salvation covenant for you to take hold of.
Ask for forgiveness and then through faith in God believe that you have righteousness (right-standing) through Christ Jesus, after all Jesus already paid for ALL of your sins on the cross.........So why are you trying to pay for them again?
Let go and live to know Him!!
Take care & God bless <><

Blasphemy of the holy spirit is to reject Jesus, because the holy spirit can not come to dwell in you until you accept Christ and you can not have forgiveness of sins without accepting he who gave his life for your sins. So if you have accepted Christ no sin is unforgivable except for one small catch, in order to be forgiven of sin after accepting Christ you most repent and only God can judge your heart to know if you are truly sorry or just playing lip service by saying your sorry.

Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is unforgivable.
Luke 12:10
And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

I think the unforgivable sin is suicide. You are murdering yourself and you cant ask forgiveness because you are dead. To be forgiven you need to be really sorry and never do it again. Jesus says go forth and sin no more. So that is what you should do after sincerely asking forgiveness. Good luck

Jesus already died for all your sins...the price is paid but you should still ask God for forgiveness of blasphemy and repent...don't ever do it again. You can't just do bad things because you know you'll be forgiven...that's not showing love or respect for Jesus having to die for your sins. Our job is to refrain from sin as much as possible and lead a godly life to honor him.
