I don't know what is going on, had this kitten only a coupe days. He is 9 weeks old, has cried a lot since we have had him, a lot more then normal. Last night he had an accident and pooped on the chair, it was a yellow/tan color and a mashed potato consistancy. Tonight all of a sudden he looked dead, no motor control, mouth open gasping for air, going to the bathroom on himself with blood in his poop. had 2 use cpr on him as he was not breathing. He began to breath, he was making a weird noise and taking a big gasp of air once and a while. He was still limp. His eyes were fixed and his mouth was staying open. I swore he was dead. All of a sudden he started to meow and move around. He is not walking right, its as if his equallibrium is off. He cries a lot, and he non stop sleeps. He moved around quite a bit and I thought he was coming around, when all of a sudden he colopsed into this extremely deep sleep again. He actually falls down asleep in my hands. What in the world could be wrong

I've only seen symptoms like this once before and the outlook isn't pleasant. :-(
Did you get this baby from a farm?
I had two little kittens who were skin and bones that I "saved" from a farm. They were doing the same thing as the kitten you described but hours apart. The first one held on for 12 hours doing the gasping for breath and not being able to move properly. 6 hours after the first one died the second kitten started stumbling around and acting strange until she too went limp and gasped for air. I called an emergency vet and she wanted to know what symptoms the kitten had.
She said she saw it thousands of times before with farm cats. They seem fine one minute but when the virus gets them it will take them quick and there isn't anything they can do. She said that all they could do at the vet is give her a warm place to sleep and make sure she was getting fed/fluids every few hours, which was exactly what we were already doing, and if the kitten made it until morning to bring her in then and save ourselves the extra couple of hundred dollars for an emergency visit.
Once the second kitten had started to drool I knew she wasn't going to make it. For an extra 3 hours my husband and I took turns making sure she was hydrated, well fed, warm, and loved and waited with her until her heart stopped beating.
We buried both of the kittens next to each other in the yard. It's still really hard to think about this knowing there was absolutely nothing we could do and watched them go through such pain. :-(
The only thing that makes me feel even the slightest bit O.K. about those little kittens is that their last moments alive were spent with a full stomach, a warm blanket, and a loving lap for them to pass away with. They wouldn't have gotten that at the place they were before.
Best best best wishes to you. *hugs*

Trip to the ER Vet can be expensive, but well worth it if it saves your pet's life. Kittens can dehydrate rapidly when vomiting. There are many reasons he could be sick, I'd most definitely be concerned. If you don't want to take him to the ER Vet, call around (or look online for the time being) for Vet's in your area that are opened late (not sure what time it is in your area) or who are open Saturdays.

THIS IS SERIOUS! If not DEADLY! This kitten MUST get to an ER vet NOW--and Yes, you CAN find one--there is always at least ONE open 24/7--they take turns. Go the ambulance route, if you must or get into the phone book and start calling, but don't waste anymore time on here! Get busy or this kitten is going to die! Prayers for You and the kitten.

Call information or look on the internet for 24 hour emergency vetrinary hospital in your area or close to it. Your kitten needs an emergency vet RIGHT NOW. If the vet cannot come to you, take a taxi.
Maybe if you call your local SPCA hospital on their answering machine they will give you the number of a 24 hr vet hosp. This may also be true of other vet. hospitals.

you really need to get a vet now! no waiting and no excuses! There has to be one. I live in the country and the closest is 50 miles one way- but it is there so there has to be one by you. get the kitten to the vet now! go with the ambulance answer if ya have to, anything is worth a shot.
Edit: I too am wondering what happened to the poor mite.

I have no idea what's wrong with the kitten - growing up in the country and had 2 cats poisoned they were on deaths door it was after midnight we called the vets office and only got an answering machine but it had the vets name so we looked her up in the phone book and gave her a call she met us at the office. I think a lot of vet offices have an in case of an emergency number on their answering machines you can call, try calling around.

Follow the instructions for finding a vet. I've had kitties for most of my life and I have no idea what his symptoms may indicate, but I believe in prayer, so I'll pray for him.
Please let us know what happens.
P.S. You've done a great job so far, he's lucky to have you.
