Its a really good idea to take lunch rather than buying it. u will be really suprised how much money u save!
Try to vary things a bit...dont just take sandwhichs everyday.
2 minute noodles are easy & quick.
Try making wraps etc which u can toast in the sandwhich press. These are easy & tasty...just get some lebanese or any flat bread add some roast chicken, cheese, ham, turkey...whatever then rol it up & wrap it in tin foil...then just put it in the sandwhich press for a couple of mins.
Salads will stay fresh if u put them in an airtight container with no dressing & keep them in the fridge then put ur dressing on when ur going to eat it.
Also things like chick legs/wings, chunks of cheese, yoghurt, fruit etc are easy & nutritious.

RE:
What are some good work lunch ideas?
I am trying not to spend as much money, and I could cut down if I didn't buy lunch everyday. What are some good ideas of stuff that I can take to work. At work we have a toaster, sandwich press, microwave, fridge/freezer, boiling water...

Microwave meals are a simple means by which you can take lunch to work.
Expensive in comparison to a home cooked meal but cheaper than buying lunch from a cafe or takeaway food outlet and the variety of meals available makes them a popular choice.
I'm a BIG fan of taking a couple of sandwiches for lunch. You could even prepare a couple of toasted sandwiches to freshly prepare at work using the sandwich press.
Leftovers from home are also a big hit with me. If you can prepare a little extra pasta so you have a meal for the next day...that's just sweet!
Taking lunch to work isnt that hard to do...takes a few minutes of extra preparation and effort is all.
And NOTHING beats the food from home in terms of quality!
Of course, there's also nothing stopping you from taking something as plain and simple as a few pieces of fruit and a tub of yoghurt as well!
It's easy to go the healthy option and is good for both your waistline and productivity at work too!
Hope you enjoy your lunches.
Cheers :)

Sometimes for a change of pace, I like to bring some sliced carrot and celery, a nice chunk of cheese, some crackers, and grapes. Yogurt and wheat thins with an apple. Usually I just bring leftovers, as I make extra every Sunday. You can also make a batch of chicken breast on the weekend, and then have it in different ways during the week. On a salad, in a sandwich, with some frozen green beans and stuffiing, heated up in the microwave are just a few examples.

yeah u can save your self money by taking ur own lunch rather than buying them ready made. you can pretty much take any thing. you can take sanwitches, Roles, Wraps, pasta, rice and curry.... some ideas:
ham cheese and tomato
chicken cheese and mayo
egg and mayo
poloni and Tomato wrap
pasta.( u can even take canned ravioli)
if you make your own dinner at home, make a little extra and take it to work the next day.
there are heaps of packaged flavouring in the super market, it's like stroganoff mix, u just need to add the beef and mushrooms, or satay chicken mix, u just need chicken and peanut butter. ( plus rice or noodles)..
but it all works out cheaper. the cafe near my work charges $5.5 for a crassoint with ham & cheese, where i can buy all the ingredients from the supermarket for less than that, and make three of them.
have fun with it.

Almost anything! Just think of what you like that is possibly fast....veggies, sandwiches, frozen dinners if you eat those, fruit, tea..anything. Just bring whatever you need from home.
Not sure what you can eat but here are some ideas:
Turkey Sandwich with carrots and jello
Pre-cook noodles at home, bring to work to heat up in micro, add your own sauce/spices and a bread roll
Soup and crackers

I like making rolls with ham, cheese, fried egg, tomato and lettuce. Fry the egg and night time then put it in in the morning. Makes salad sandwiches/rolls a little more exciting.
If you have a sandwich press - toasties! yum! Chicken, cheese, avocado, sundried tomato. You can buy turkish bread to make it more like a bought lunch and tasty too! Or plain old ham, cheese tomato.
I also like salads...chicken and salad is good.
Or use left overs from dinner and heat in microwave :)
