I myself wished to immigrate to UK for better living(high money currency). We can see many people travel to UK legally/illegally to seek for jobs and livings, most of them become domectis servants or maids. Talk about it.

I hate to break it to you, yes, the exchange rate is good for the pound against the dollar but the cost of living is high!

For every US dollar you get 49p (UK)
For every British pound you get $2.03
(Today's exhange rate)

In my state, we pay 6% sales tax on items in England that standard VAT rate is 17.5% on items!

Housing, food clothing, petrol (gas) for the car is very expensive. Americans complain how expensive the cost is here in the States. Wait till you go to buy it in England! You will drop dead from the shock!

Trust me, living in the states is cheaper, and I live in one of the most expensive states in the union!

There's nothing stupid about dreaming of a better quality of life in another country.

If you are well educated, you may wish to plan out how much paperwork you go through to receive acknowledgement of your studies elsewhere.

For example, to immigrate to Canada as a medical doctor from another country may take extra schooling or supervision even for someone who is already a medical doctor in their previous country. As a result, they arrive in Canada, and end up driving a taxi cab, or making pizza in the mean time.

It's absurd to think you'll make a fortune as a house servant or hotel maid.

Start your own business and WORK your way into travelling to other countries selling your products. Come into the UK in a suit, not in your last pair of pants.

Not really, if you can afford to fly your not really poor. First complete your schooling so you have something to go on.
Find a career then immigrate to the UK - good luck!

Does the U/K have universal Healthcare?

That right there would make it a very viable quest.
Plus, you get to see a new country, and hopefully have better luck starting a new.

Good luck!
