Sure! We all drive Porches when our Ferraris are in the shop. And we all live in High Rise Condos on the French Riviara and we don't deal with the little people that work for us.
The problem is that we like to appear humble and poor because it sets us up for massive raises and bonuses.

No, not by the usual definition of rich - wealthy above and beyond average - they do usually earn a good income, not as high as a doctor, much more than a teacher.
