In terms of ancient roots, they are close shoots off the same branch, the Indo-Iranian family. The ancient Persian language and Vedic Sanskrit (ancestor of Hindi) were similar. However their grammars developed quite differently after that.

Over centuries of Persian-speaking rule, a very large chunk of words from Persian entered into the North Indian languages. Think of it as comparable to all the French words that came into English. Modern Hindi emerged from this fusion, just as Modern English emerged from the Norman French infusion of lexical items.

No!!! on no account. There are no significant languages in critical Asia. via fact, CA is of diferent cultures and languages. you could no longer say basically 3 languages as significant. Russian, chinese language, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Bengali, Urdu, Persian, Turkish are all seen to have greater audio equipment...

No they are both different Hindi is derived from Sanskrit, if you meen Hindustani dialect, yes we have the influence of Farsi words. Farsi is unique itself, after Islam it has adapted few Arabic words. The Afghan Kazakhs and other southern Soviet states has very much similarities with Farsi

well not hindi but Urdu.
urdu and persian are a bit similar and have many words that mean the same, things like:
mez (table), khub (good), phanka (fan), and many more that i cant remember are the same and the differance is in pronounciation only.

they have some simillar words but a persian can not at all understand hindi and vise versa.
