I am an 18 year old female. I go to college and I plan to get my bachelors. I'm currently searching for a job and preparing to get my license to drive. I'm not really looking for anything serious right now but I would like the company.

When I first saw the question I wondered what you were like, age, interests, etc. you seem to know what you want and are level headed. Do you live on campus? Main thing with many people they go to college is they are not around their parents and many self destruct.
As far as guys many will be out for one thing and if yo are looking for nothing serious you will probably find that but it will take time. Do not put yourself in a big situation no matter how nice anybody or group is. When you find a job you like and you can get help from the school and maybe work there. If you can type they always need filing people and people that can type. Unfortunately most coming to college have come form schools that don't prepare them and they don't want to work so you have an advantage.
I suggest you get in involved in some campus stuff that you like or have a feeling for and check as many out as you want, if you don't like them then it's not the end of the world.
If you like chess or games they have clubs, I guess heck I went to the same college as Brett Farve, but over ten years before.
Important that you go to church and believe it or not you will meet men there not to say there are not going t be jerks there also. Since it's your first year your classes will not be in your major, if you have decided yet, so rule out finding someone that way, but church and a job are a great start and be careful. There have always been predators and scum like that roaming around campuses since the dawn to try and take advantage of innocents. Watch your back and maybe you'll end up with some roomies you can trust and think the same.
As level headed as you are, too bad I'm not 25 years younger, naw just kidding. Take care. Ps you probabbly already knew what I told you, but what the heck. Scope out the campus and it ain't the end of the world if you don't have a car, most don't.

you should proably see someone at your college, because most would be in the same position as you anyway. that way you can relate and thats a start. otherwise you should try to find someone who is local to you area like you

Look at guys a couple of years older then you not the same age girls mature faster then most guys.

You could try a nightclub. Those hip and happening places where young good looking people pick up other young people.
