I've been taking Tylenol 3 as a result of a spontaneous Pneumothorax.. a full collapse of my lung... and I was wondering if somebody can tell me how strong and just how addictive this pain medication is... on the bottle it says.. Acet/caff/codein 330-15-30 MG... Don't know if that helps.. but i'd REALLY appreciate it if somebody could tell me :P anyways.. Thanks a million!!! :D

ummm I'm not sure if this Tylenol is anything like the Tylenol you see on the shelves... it's perscription sooo idk :S

SAMI is correct about the proportions of the drugs in your Tylenol #3. The caffeine is no more than a small amount of coffee or Mountain Dew, but the codeine taken regularly for a matter of several weeks could lead to withdrawal symptoms. Codeine is both physically and psychologically addicting - BUT, you are OK to take it for the usual 7-10 days that it is usually prescribed for acute painful conditions. The pain from your pneumothorax should not be chronic, so go ahead but don't take more than two at a time. Tylenol (acetaminophen) can be very harmful to your liver if you take excessive doses too frequently - especially with alcohol. Oh - and be careful if you are driving after taking this pain med.

Acetamenophen 330 mgs
Caffein 15mgs
Codein 30 mgs
is a combination of three drugs including Tylenol also known as Acetamenophen
Caffein and codein are in fixed dose combinations. and both are addicting.
Please change the drug after your doctor advises you.

you should really consult a doctor about this,
However if tylenol 3 is anything like the standard tylenol I dont think it is addictive
