I was watching Whoopi Goldberg's Special, "The word according to Whoopi and I posed this question in my AP Lit class since we were discussing language usage in literature. Apparently, Yahoo thinks that the N word is worst, because when I wrote it in it's true form they replaced it with astricts. Note also that the,"N" word in the dictionary means an ignorant person.

I must be stupid because I have no Idea what the "C" word is, I no the "N' word is regin spelled backwards. Is those are my only choices its the "N' word, although its dictionary meaning is ignorant person which are pretty much the same.
Except the "N" word as it relates to a slur towards a race of people was derived from the Latin word "nigra" meaning "black"

The "N" word is MUCH worse as it tends to marginalize an entire race. When someone uses that word, there is no doubt in anyone's mind what is meant and to whom it is addressed.

On the other hand, the word, "stupid" is subjective and can be a relative term. A smart person may be stupid (meaning ignorant) about survival skills. A person may consider another person "stupid" while a third person may not agree.

"Stupid" can be synonomous with dumb, (as in not smart) ignorant, thoughtless, (like "That was a stupid thing to say!") careless ("That was a stupid move.") or, simply, a general put down. ("Your'e stupid and I don't like you!")

More and more, the term "stupid" is thought to be a merely rude word, although, some, more sensitive people can still take offence when it is directed at them. To my granddaughters, we have taught them that it is as inappropriate language as any cussword.

By the way. In WHAT dictionary did you find THAT definition? Sounds like something that might have been published 60 or 70 years ago.

Well, I'm white and I know for a fact that I would despise being called the "N" word in today's society, especially coming from Mariam Webster. Hmm, Webster, that kind of makes me think who wrote the dictionary.

People have destroyed our language by making words sounds so evil. The N word and the C word are tied for worst.

The "C" word is normally considered the most offensive word in the English language.

...but, as far as what youre asking, the 'n' word.

What's the "C" word? Cuntt, or...? If so, why is that so bad?

"The skin on her breast was white as milk,
And the hair on her cuntt was soft as silk..."

The word is indeed *crude* and not accepted in "polite" company, but not really "bad".

"Worse" when comparing two things.
"Worst" when comparing 3 or more things.
So, "which word is WORSE..."

There's some grammar help.

As for my opinion, I think the 'N' word is worse.

The 'N' word of course! Always has been a horrible word, always will be.
