I am looking for relatively inexpensive bridesmaid gowns (like under $150), but not David's Bridal or Alfred Angelo. Any suggestions?
If you want more specifics, I am looking for cocktail/knee length dresses with either spaghetti straps or a tank-style top. I would like either organza or satin. Thanks!

Just to clarify -- I don't have a problem with David's Bridal or Alfred Angelo. I already looked at their websites, however, and wanted to consider some different options. Nothing jumped out at me as the "perfect" bridesmaid dress.

Instead of looking for a true 'bridesmaids' dress, why not go to the fancy dress dept. at a local department store - Dillard's or something similar. See if there aren't some nice cocktail dresses in that price range that will be appropriate, and yet 'reusable' for the bridesmaids.
You could also go to your local fabric shop and browse through the pattern books and have dresses made by a local seamstress - that way, you get a perfect fit for each gal, and you get to pick the fabric and trim yourself! And a good seamstress can alter patterns if you have one that's almost exactly right, but not quite!

I really love Jasmine Bridal. I'm getting 2 out of 3 of my bridesmaid dresses from here. Their prices are really reasonable . Take a look at their Belsoie and B2 collections.

I'd look at anntaylor.com and check out their new Celebrations website. It's almost all bridesmaid dresses, and they only have 2 wedding dresses so far. From what I saw on the page it looks like they might have something that you might be interested in, although I'm not sure about prices. I think they have some very classy stuff.
Good luck and congrats!!!! I hope you find something!!

Hi and congratulations!
I just love the Alfred Angelo ones, but here are a few alternate sites with inexpensive dresses:

Also, since you are looking for cocktail or knee length dresses, you can simply go to any department store, such as Kohl's, Macy's, Ann Taylor, Talbots, and look through what they have.
Good luck!

The other day I was glancing through different web sites and I came across this site which has many useful links in their resources or links pages. There were a lot of wedding dress and brides maids dress places. Give it a look-see and maybe you'll find something you like. The link was http://www.advancedvideo.net.tc

Well, you could sew this yourself or you could look at the glued together hems at Macy's. Or you could go to Kohl and look at some of the well made Wangs --- The seams and stitching are excellent and fabrics could not be obtained for their price. [Knowledge of fabric design courtesy of my beloved Uncle and Aunt --- who were tailors and seamstress in NYC where I was a working guest for several summers.]

If the bride has something in thoughts for you, you may ask her. in lots of circumstances they p.c.. their in demand hues. you may continually attempt thrift shops, or eBay, or maybe craiglist. procuring on line cant get you a chit, besides.
