You probably just miss him and your brain is trying to think happy thoughts about him.

We all dream, nightly, I believe. However, most of the time we don't remember our dreams, but sometimes we do.
Dreams are symbolic. Our bodies rest every night, but our brains never rest, because they are always busy. When you are sleeping, your brain is busy sorting, sifting, integrating, reconciling, and otherwise processing the information is has recently received from its sensory inputs. Some information takes longer to process. So, it's not like you go to sleep and then always end up processing all of your experiences in life that happened during that particular day. It can take a day, a week, a month, or longer, for your brain to settle things down, with the various kinds of information it receives.
Emotions also play a role here. Emotions have chemical components and thus, cause physical reactions. So, your heart (emotions) and mind (intellect) are married and interactive.
And now, for your dream: Obviously you have suffered a great loss, and this is troubling to you. Recurrent dreams often happen when one experiences a troubling life event.
I see that lately, the number 4 seems to be prominent in your life and dreams. The youngest of your 4 brothers, about 4 weeks ago, passed away in his sleep 4 days after he was released from the hospital.
He was in 2nd row seat and you were in the last seat (was that the 4th seat, or what? Are you on a bus, or something?). And in one dream there are 3 cats.
Traveling on a journey, playing and happy, everything seems okay. There seems to be no cause for alarm here. But, from what you say, his death was unexpected. In the dream(s) he was in the 2nd seat, and you were in the last one. Seems to me that there is some regret and sorrow on your part that the kidney donation did not happen sooner, even though you were a willing donor and in the process of doing it. You are separated from him. Death is the ultimate separation. You are not sitting next to him. He is in the second seat and you are in the last one. If only the donation could have happened sooner, in time!
I don't have all of the answers for you, or a crystal clear interpretation of your dream. Dreams are not always so clear cut and simple to interpret. Often, they do not make sense at all. But, if I have been able to offer you even the smallest bit of insight into your dream, then it was worth my time and effort. My sincere condolences on your loss.

Many times our departed loved ones come to us in dreams to let us know everything is ok. All of you travelling together shows that you shared life's journey as a family. Him being in the second row seat indicates he "went before you", because you were "last". Everyone was happy. So, he was essentially telling you that although he went first, all of you were happy and he is happy now (playing with his daughter).
The three cats being in the next dream probably signifies the love you felt for each other, if the cats are especially loved in your household by everyone. They might represent a common theme of love and adoration? Only you would know if this is the case.
Hope this helped.

Sometimes after we lose someone we love it affects our hearts and minds so much we dream about them. It shows that they meant a lot to us. It's o.k. and it will be o.k.! You won't forget him!
