Hmmm I get tired of the ignorance...but I can't say that I get tired of the apathy. I don't really care about that. ;P

Ultimately, whatever side of the fence you're on, it comes down to faith.
Christians believe by faith.
Atheists ultimately believe by faith.
It's all ultimately faith. After all, to believe purely by proof alone, is ultimately a weak and precarious stance. Your belief will always be ruled by conjecture and new findings.
So at some point, you eventually have to realize that THERE'S REALLY NO POINT IN ARGUING OR DEBATING. I mean, sure, there are always people that haven't heard a particular debate yet, and you want to edify them as much as you can, but there's really no gain in being here (once you've heard it all).
So, a lot of people just end up being "goof balls." If there are people with a sense of humor to enjoy it, that's great. If not...well, it's too bad for those people.
Of course, it's easier to continue being facetious when people say things to you like:
"you are amazingly stupid and a classic example of disrespectfulness. bring your bad *** wrath on! you frighten noone except perhaps your own mother. you vulgar and miserable somebody"
It's people like this that make all the foolishness worthwhile. I'm sad to say that I don't know what religion this person believes in, but I've seen many Christians behave and speak in the same way. I know a lot of you are really great people, but it is people like this that give you, and other religious groups, a bad name. I am very sorry that you have to put up with them being in your community, as I would be sorry to have an atheist like this in my community. Maybe one day, the world will grow to a point where people can actually get along without this kind of negativity and hatred. Who knows? Even though your Bible says it will end badly, we can still hope, right? But until then, we all have to cope however we can.
So, the fun and games will continue, but please know that I don't hate you guys. :P It's just fun that I hope you can share.

I do get so so so sick and tied of them. It is like people with their friggin' computer viruses. They make life miserable for everyone.
I have been reporting someone who writes these pleading questions in capital letters, and then there is this long monologue about how the devil is after her, and this monologue is exactly the same in each question. Very annoying.
What more can we do? I am at a loss at what else is feasible, short of having the Yahoo high ups intervene in some fashion. Like blocking certain addresses permanently.... I don't know. But I share your frustrations

Have you honestly not noticed that ignorance and apathy....along with a good dose of entitlement run rampant in our society as a whole? Sometimes I feel like we are entering the Age of the Ostrich.....squawk at everything that is different, peck at any easy target and when all else fails.....bury your head in the sand.
Everything is a mirror of something else. As within, so without.

Apathy. lack of understanding is like innocence, in case you do no longer understand then you certainly can't care. you may no longer blame the guy for no longer worrying, if he's not conscious. Apathy is worse, through fact that is worse understanding yet no longer worrying.

Just ebbs and flows, and if you are tired the ebbs are more frustrating. Getting in a great frame of mind from a good question, then going back and seeing dreadful ones everywhere is frustrating too.
A taste of honey can be worse than none at all.

not goof balls, goof off, that **** gets you wired.
And no, I don't share your point of view, why do people stress over political correctness so much over the internet on their own time? seriously many people here have jobs where they are around a lot of people.

I definitely know what you mean, and contrary to the Christian-bashers out there, many of these trolls are atheists who like to put obnoxious answers. That and the people who copy and paste bible verses for answers.
I believe respect is key, and sadly no one wants to show it. Instead, people want to say whose religion/beliefs are superior to others. I agree with you

my granddaddy used to say that a drunk meant everything he said, he just needed the courage of the drink in order to say it. I think the trolls are like that too, they are so busy presenting a persona that they have to hide behind a mask to say what they really think. but yeah, it gets old
