It wouldn't matter much with or without, but yeah, the OT is the less credible of the two.

The Bible isn't a bible without the Old Testament: the New Testament was written as a continuation of the old one. But given that there's no Old Testament to speak of, the New Testament may simpy be termed as "The Testament," "The Bible," "Christ's Words," or just "The BooK".

I think it is more believable with the old testament, because the old testament is what has the beginning of life, but most of all it has the foretelling of the coming of Christ. And since Jesus came to fulfill the old testament, then there would be no evidence that or of Him before hand without the old testament. Plus the old testament tells why Jesus was going to be sent. To be a sacrifice for our sins.

The Old Testament is information leading us to a belief in the New Testament. There is so much prophecy fulfilled in the New that it increases my faith.
It's definately more believable with the Old and New Testaments.

It doesn't matter. The Bible is only believable if God allows you to believe it, old or new testament. It's probably more believable with the old testament though if faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God the more you hear the more you believe.

Since more than half the New Testament is quotes and elaobration of teaching from the Old it would be kind of difficult not to have both to truly understand what is going on.

I agree with jenx. Without the Old Testament the New wouldn't make much sence. The Old Testament without the New would however.

Certainly the old testament is less believable, yet if you believe in th Bible at all, doesn't that mean you must believe the entire Bible?

Not really. Since so much of it depends upon the stories of Christ fulfilling prophecies, which are in the Old Testament, it would merely be more confusing without it.

The Old Testament is the basis for all other Scripture. Without it, all other would be incomplete.
