Symptoms Include:
- Abdominal Pain/Discomfort
- Change in Bowl Stuff (constipation/the big D)
- Fatigue
- Weakness
- Blood on Toliet Paper (back end)
- Fever that comes and goes
- Lower back discomfort (I do have scoliosis, but it's never felt like this)
- Pain in abdomin feels like I'm hungry/full/or very uncomfortable
- Wakes me up at night for no reason
- Restless
- Trouble going to bathroom because it hurts (my rear end)

I have X-Rays on Friday that were clear except for the fact I had some stool backed up in my colon. So, I was put on a laxative to clean it out. I've been on it for 2 days, but I still have the pain. Ultra Sound showed nothing either. If this pain isn't gone by Monday, we're scheduling the test where I drink barium and they do X-Ray's. Please tell me what you think this is. I was afraid it was Colon Cancer because my grandfather had it and I know Crohn's Disease (sometimes) goes with Colon Cancer. Could it be that?

Don't say "go to the Doc/ER".

I already have, and they just did X-Ray's and assumed that the pain was caused by the constipation.

This has been going on for a month and slowly, but surely, has progressed towards worse.

At your age I would doubt it is colon cancer.. Sounds to me like you either have Crohn's/Colitis or IBS.. If you have Crohns you should know when you get the small bowel follow through (the barium test) if that shows something most likely it will be crohns if it does not show anything then and the pain is still going on make sure you get a colonoscopy. I have crohns and I have/had alot of the same things as you.. Good luck and I am putting a couple of links in where you can go chat and get more help..

I've had the same symptoms. Had the x-rays and ultra sounds. And they came up with nothing as well. But then I got a colonoscopy and the doctors said I have Crohn's disease. To know for sure, that's really what the doctors need to do is get you in for a colonoscopy.

I'm so sorry you are going through all this. I know exactly what it's like. I wish you the best of luck and I truly hope that it's not anything serious. If you need someone to talk to about it, email me anytime. Seriously.

at your age colon cancer is really unlikely. You could have ulcers and that would explain many of your symptoms. Being restless could explain the fatigue and you could be restless due to nervousness. You also could have anemia from bleeding which would cause a few of your symptoms. You are doing all the right things by going to the Dr. so stay tough and best wishes, I'm sure everything will turn out fine.

If they did the tests, i would say you are OK. Constipation can really mess up your body, especially if it is severe. You are 13. It is probably too early to be worried about colon cancer. Crohn's is a possibility at your age and I feel if that is the case they will find it and treat it. To allay your fears about colon issues, ask for a colonoscopy.

Give the meds some time to work and calm down. Worrying will not help you feel better.

You are going to the doctor on Monday, right? I'm sorry that I can't give you an answer right now except to wait until then and see what the test results are. There are SO many things that could be going on that without being a doctor with all test results in front of me, I could never diagnose something like this.

Trust your doctor hon and hang on until Monday. I know it's tough and you are scared, but if it was VERY serious, they never would have let you go home.~

This sounds like the same symtoms I had with Ulcerative Colitis. I would have a clolonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy done. This would give the specialist abetter look at what's happened to your colon. They could take a biopsy (tiny tissue sample) of your colon at the same time. If this is what you have it is very treatable and sometimes clears up after a few treatments.

I had few of our symptoms too.
I've been constipated for 7 years now.
And I've done occult fecal test 5 yrs ago and nothings found.
And as of now I'm tired of having check ups going home nothing.
It's really hard but do what your doctor told you.
It can be Irritable Bowel Syndrme or else.
I was worried to that mine can be colon cancer to, but we'll I'm still here.
At our age I'm 22 it's too early for us unless there is a history of the colon disease. As for you do some test like colonoscopy but this is invasive procedure but to ease your tensions and calm your nerves do it.request for it.

It sure sounds like irritable bowel to me-I 've been there. Bring it up with the doctor when you go next. It won't hurt to do some tests to rule out something else but these symptoms and your presentation are pretty classic.

well..if you have constipation for long you could have obstruction on your bowel or intestine...your feces could harden over time and block the passage...

what color was the blooed? if it's frank blood, it's most likely hemmorhoid...constipated people do commonly have that...

as for crohn's disease, that's more of boy's condition..very rare in girls...
