The OT views it as a sin.

There is debate among some Christians groups on the issue of where it's a sin in the NT, since Jesus remains silent on the issue in his teaching. If you follow the teachings of Christ, it is not a sin in any of his teachings.

You only have the words of a few Apostles who were promoting a more conservative view of ancient times, a view that was outside the direct teachings of Jesus.

Many Christians are known for preferring scriptures they feel give them the excuse needed to oppress and victimize the innocent.

The Bible is against it. It states it in the Old and New Testaments. Romans 1:26-28 states that it is a sin. Men are not to be with men likewise women are not to be with women. The Bible is very clear about it. It is not something we are born with it is a learned behavior. If you study your Bible you will find it. Get a good study Bible it will give you all the references. God made man to be with woman. God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Adam. As Christians we are to love everyone in Christ and pray for them, but not to love the way they chose to live.

1Corinthians 6:9 Don’t you know that evil people will not receive God’s kingdom? Don’t be fooled. Those who commit sexual sins will not receive the kingdom. Neither will those who worship statues of gods or commit adultery. Neither will men who are prostitutes or who commit homosexual acts. 10 Neither will thieves or those who always want more and more. Neither will those who are often drunk or tell lies or cheat. People who live like that will not receive God’s kingdom.

11 SOME OF YOU USED TO DO THOSE THINGS. BUT YOUR SINS WERE WASHED AWAY. YOU WERE MADE HOLY. YOU WERE MADE RIGHT WITH GOD. ALL OF THAT WAS DONE IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND BY THE SPIRIT OF OUR GOD.

It is improper, a misuse of the text, to cite the condemning statements in verses 9 and 10 without also mentioning the "solution" of a changed life through the strength of the Spirit we see in verse 11.

In the Old Testament(Lev. 18:22) it calls it an abomination. In the New Testament(1 Cor. 6:9-10), it says no homosexual shall inherit internal life.

This is what the Bible says according to the Law of Moses:

Leviticus 18:22
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Leviticus 20:13
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.


God laid out the order that they are not even to wear the clothing belonging to the opposite sex:

Deuteronomy 22:5
The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

That being said, contrary to what many (maybe even most) Christians is that . . . . we are no longer under such Laws. They are the Laws of the Old Covenant. That is specifically stated in the Bible as well. We are under a New Covenant:

Hebrews 8
13 By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.

So we who are in Christ are under a New Covenant. And the Laws which did not save anyone are no longer there to condemn us. We are saved by faith through grace. Jesus said that if we believe in him we are not condemned.

And it's as simple as that.

I Corinthians 6:9: "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

I am a lesbian and am proud of who I am. I do not judge what is written in the bible. I am Christan and my whole community at the church doesn't have a problem with it. Notice what it said in verse 11 of the last scripture? It shows that people can change and whatever our view is of their life style is, we would still treat them with respect and kindness!! Hope this helped to clear things up for you.
