No I do not see it that way. Personally as a Christian learning the truth and not what these uneducated "Evangelicals" are teaching, I just see the "Accept Jesus or go to hell" as very silly. That message is doing more harm than good. The original message of Christianity 1900 years ago was "Accept Jesus and live". There was no no mention of hell in the original message. As far as that message being a type of terrorism...well if the evangelicals are putting a gun to your head and telling you to convert of else...that would be an act of terrorism. I have served in Afghanistan and Iraq as an American soldier and I have seen real live terrorist in action. Getting bombed daily is an act of terrorism. Running car full of bombs into buildings with Innocent victims is terrorism. There is a difference.

no, it is the truth....
They are not the ones sending you there. They are just warning you. It's there job.
It's not about ego. Evangelists believe that there is a hell. If you saw someone getting ready to jump into a lake of fire, wouldn't you say something? Even if the person doesn't see the lake and calls you stupid or ignorant, you would still scream at them and tell them that it's there if YOU saw the lake. It would be the loving thing to do... They are trying to save people from going there. They are not trying to scare people. They believe that there is a hell and it is as simple as that.

Terrorism? No. Rather pathetic ignorance? Yes. The man who came to be called Jesus was not a god...gods do not exist...and, for most of us, the final destination is six-feet under...a hell does not exist. Dead is dead and that is all.

Yes, and it's been that same terrorism for 2000 years, worldwide. They just don't go around murdering people who won't convert, these days. But the intent is still there. Convert or die (go to hell).

It's not terrorism because no action is taken against the unbelievers. It is very different from beheading somebody who won't accept your religion, or even blowing up defenseless civilians who may or may not accept your religion.

It definately is an act of intolerance, bullying, violence and abuse. As for Terrorism - well I have to admit my "Oh yeah" answer is the result of bias.
I guess it comes down to defiantion.

Yes, because if people actually believe them that is scaring them into doing what they want them to do and that's basically what terrorism is.

it's a message as old as religion. They threaten the uneducated with an unprovable punishment. These days, most of us are educated and tell them where they can go
