Fruits have sugar and by eating only fruits you don't do your body good. The more gradually you lose the weight the more likely you are to keep it off.
With that said, please try to join a wt loss group, either in person or on line. For a minimal fee you can have the right advice and monitoring.
I heard that the wt watchers group is great.
To answer your question, fruits have a lot of carbs (eg bananas) but no fat. But the carbs (sugar) they contain is enough cals to keep your wt on

Fruits have natural sugars and carbohydrates, some have a higher glycemic index than others (those are the ones that you should eat in moderation, such as bananas).

An average medium sized banana usually has around 85 calories, a larger banana has about 100 or so. So, yes, if you eat lots of bananas every day it can cause some weight gain if you're not burning that off.

However, just eating a banana isn't going to automatically make you gain weight. Fruit is healthy and you should be getting the recommended amount each day.
