Please dont choose carnival. I have been on 104 cruises and 14 with carnival. If youve only tried carnival then you really dont know what your missing. Carnival tried to copy the largest cruise ship in the world but failed......miserably. Here are some cruise companys and what they have to offer on their ships....

Royal Caribbean- RCC is great for familys and couples. Their ships are also the biggest and the best. At 155,000 metric tons you would imagine there is something to do on there. Their currently biggest ship (also the largest ing the world) is Freedom of The Seas, Liberty of The Seas, and Independance Of The Seas. There are all the same but the each have a huge rock wall, a surf simulator, mini golf course, adult only hottubs hangimg off the edge overlooking the sea, ice skating rink, boxing ring, flat screen tvs in every stateroom, Royal Promenade (like a mall), Presidential Family Suite with 4 bedrooms and a private balcony and hot tub, and all the regular things like theamed bars and resturants and much more. If you wait a couple years you can go on RCC 220,000 ton ship. Not sure of the name though.

Carnival- Carnival has many partys and is mostly for kids in my opinion. They have 24 hour pizza buffet, slides on their pools, and in their newest ship weighing in at 113,300 tons, and featuring a total guest capacity of 3,006, the Carnival Splendor will introduce a host of new features, including: staterooms with flat screen TVs, a spectacular 21,000 sq foot, two-level spa and gym facility, 5,500-square-foot children’s playroom and a mid-ship pool covered with a two-deck-high Sliding Sky Dome. I think carnival is copying RCC's ships. They even came out with a ship named Carnival Freedom. Carnival is cheaper but not as big ships and not as much to do on their best ship.

Princess- I myself highly dont recommend Princess since they are not one of the biggest companys and they dont have any specail ships that costs billions of dollars. They have like 6 hottubs on their newest ship and Nine-hole putting course and Virtual golf simulators but nothing out of the ordinary. I suggest that you dont pick this one.

Nowegian Cruise Lines- Nowegian is another great cruise company with awesome ships. The best ships are Pearl and Gem. Pearl has many things to do like
Bowling, Tahitian Pool, Fitness Center, Hot Tubs, Kid's Pool, South Pacific Spa and Beauty Salon, Stardust Theater, Pearl Club Casino, Art Gallery and Internet Cafe, Jogging/Walking, Track, Basketball/Volleyball/ Tennis Court, Trade Routes, Boutiques, The Chapel Card Room, LifeStyle Room, The Library, Aqua Kid's Club, Metro Center, Video Arcade, Photo Gallery, Meeting Rooms, and Corona Cigar Club. NCL also offers freestyle cruising which allows you to do what you want when you want. No pre-set dinner times.

I would choose Royal Caribbean, hands down. I would choose royal caribbeans freedom of the seas or liberty of the seas. Those ships are awesome....10 X better than carnival.

Hope this helps and choose royal caribbean or nowegian. Those are my favorite cruise companys.

I travel on the cruise ships frequently, and take groups along, as well as my own children from time to time. We always ask the kids what they like and don't like about the cruise lines, and if they have been on more than on cruise line which they prefer. For the Family, the kids, toddler thru teen always prefer the programs and opportunities on Carnival.

When the adults are picking for themselves, they have different reasons for picking their cruise lines, and each person has their favorites. Some choose value, some, style, some entertainment, some food quality, and others like the status of the ship. Adults are more complex and have much more varied reasons for picking a cruise ship. the kids just want fun and a hamburger,

For a family take Carnival, the cabins are larger and the kids will have a better time.

I was on a Carnival Cruise two weeks ago. The intial reaction was too many kids (but that would be ok if you had children!) But after the boarding and what not, the kids disappeared to the pools or the programs designed for them. Carnival really does have something for everyone. The staff on a Carnival Cruise is AMAZING. Our steward remembered our name the first day and our waiters in the dining room were so much fun. I would go again. My parents have gone on a Royal Caribbean cruise and absolutely loved it as well.

I've been on Carnival a couple of times and thought it was great but I think that Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruises are better.

The best family friendly ships are Carnival, Disney, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean.

Carnival you've been on.

Disney is an obvious choice. However, Disney is also expensive.

Norwegian is family friendly. Norwegian also has a relaxed dress code, so you and your children don't have to get dressed up just to eat.

Royal Caribbean has some huge ships (Voyager and Freedom class) that have lots of options, including rock climbing, ice skating, miniature golf, and on the Voyager class ships, inline skating. On the Freedom class ships, instead of the inline skating tracK there is the Flowrider, which is the surfing simulator. Also, the Freedom class ships have a miniature water park known as the H2O Zone.

We went on Royal Caribbean and loved it, we didn't like Carnival last time we went, the food and service is better on Royal Caribbean. My Uncle is a safety officer on Princess cruise line and he says that is a great line to go on too, I'll probably be taking my next cruise with them, but never again on Carnival, Once you go on another line you'll never use Carnival again!

carnival is best...I'm never doing Royal Carribbean again. Carnival offers you sooo much more than RC. They are the only 2 lines I have used thus far but Carnival gets my vote.

Still Carnival. RCCL is expensive, Disney is expensive considering isn't designed for smaller kids, Princess is more of an older crowd

If you loved Carnival, why not go back? No sense trying out something you might not like as well as Carnival then.
