1. Many more individuals are born than can possibly survive, thus there is competition for limited resources
2. Within this vast number there is variation, and because of this variation some of these individuals will have an advantage--however slight--over others
3. The ones who have the advantages are more competitive and thus they are more likely to obtain the limited resources
4. The ones who are succeeding in securing the limited resources are more likely to reproduce and thus pass onto their offspring the more competitive traits

God DIDN'T split his church into tens of thousands of pieces. That was man, and the fact that they bicker over how to translate passages of the bible. There's so many different way TO analyze the works that they've split off and begun teaching the way THEY think it should be taught.

Sir, the only important issue is the Gospel. All those other things you mentioned will die with the world. They are as important as the death that awaits them as issues. The order by the Lord was to preach the Gospel.
Are you too tempted to falter with an undeserving message?

The problem is that when the non-israelites started taking over the church in the 2nd century CE, they rejected obedience to God's laws. Some sects figured out this was not the original intent of Yeshua of Natzareth and restored obedience to God's law, but most of the reformation held onto the false teachings they had inherited from the roman catholic church (which had a stranglehold on theology and gleefully executed people who disagreed with them for over a thousand years prior to the protestant reformation).
So you see, all of these other sects reject God's civil and moral laws, so they have no real basis for defining "sin." [Though 1 John 3 says plainly that "sin is the transgression of the Torah (i.e. the "law"), they ignore this.] In reality, grace is not license for sin (Romans 6), and since sin is the transgression of the law, that means grace is NOT license for transgressing the Torah. If you read the teachings of Yeshua and his original 12 apostles objectively, this is quite clear.
Since the modern churches don't have any solid foundation for defining "sin," they make up their own definitions - which, of course, don't match. This is, indeed, the work of hasatan (the adversary) - who has fooled people into thinking they are just as smart as God and can make up their own rules for living.
God, however, is not amused. And if Yeshua is in fact God incarnate, then it was Yeshua who came down on Mt. Sinai and gave us the civil and moral laws of the Torah, and said they are "eternal" and "for all our generations" and for "everywhere we live." And even if Yeshua was just a wise teacher, he still told his disciples that "not one jot or tittle will pass from the Torah" for "as long as there is heaven and earth" - which are still here. He also said, "not all who say to me Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father in Heaven." The will of God the Father is spelled out for us in the Torah. And as Yeshua also says, "In that day people will say to me, did we not heal and preach and do great wonders in your name?" And Yeshua says he will say to them, "Away from me, all you who practice Torahlessness - I never knew you."
The greek word "anomia" in that verse means "without Torah" in Hebrew, and "without Law" in English. The churches don't seem to understand what that means - Yeshua is saying clearly that even great philanthropists and teachers of the gospel will be rejected from the kingdom because they reject God's Torah.
If all the churches understood that, they would all be teaching the same things. There would be no doubt whether or not abortion is wrong, or homosexuality. There would be no doubt about when divorce is prohibited, or when marriages are, for that matter. There would be no doubt that charging people interest is wrong, and so forth. And people would know that they are forbidden from rejecting God's appointed festivals and substituting pagan festivals with new names, to try and pass them off as things acceptable to God. And they would know the correct day of the Sabbath and observe it correctly.
Because people aren't being taught the truth, they are confused about what is right and what is wrong. But God is not confused - and if you don't want to be either, then just read the instruction manual. It's all right there.

well once Christ was crucified and all the apostles were killed, people started to interpret what was taught the way they wanted it to sound. so now, MANY MANY years later, things have changed so much, we cant really tell if its truth or not, except with faith. I was raised mormon, and I still feel that having a modern day prophet dosnt sound absurd. How else would God keep true religion going?

Partially it is Satan.
But the real problem is that:
in the early Church, the apostles relied TOTALLY upon the leading of the Holy Spirit.
I can only surmise that once the Apostles died, man began to rely on his OWN understanding of what had occured up to that time, & thought that he could add to it-using his OWN "wisdom", instead of totally relying on the leading of the Holy Spirit, as the early church did.
And what happened-denominations-created by MAN, NOT GOD!

Romans 7:13 says: ''“Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.'''
There are different roads of religion, yet only one is right.
Also 1 John 4:1 says '''Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.'''
Hopefully that answers your question
