yeah so me and my dad kinda got into this argument today
my parents are divorced and i get so bored at his house.
i see him every other weekend and then the rest of the time i am with my mom.
today was my sisters birthday party and last night i went to sleepover at my friends house
then tonight i was going to go home and have a friend sleepover there (my moms house)
but my dad got mad that he never sees me.. but we have nothing in common!
so my friend ended up sleeping over at my dads house with me.
my dad just came down stairs to say goodnight and to tell us where the blankets are and stuff
and i gave him a hug and a kiss and said "love you "
but he never said love you back
and he always does!
so i said it again and he pretended he never heard me
he wasnt looking at me when i said it though so i dont know if he didnt hear me or if he was mad at me
i kinda wish my friend didnt sleep over so i could watch a movie with my dad but i wanted her to sleepover b.c she is my bff

o well, maybe he just didnt hear you really. the next time you see him, dont push the issue, it may lead to another argument. just always tell him you love him, show it to him though you only get to see him evry other weekend. and try to find something to do with him other than just watching movies. try to find what he's interested in and try your hand at that. ur parents maybe divorced but family doesnt end there.

Well next time you choose a friend over your dad, and you try and say i love you and he doesn't reply. Why not get off your butt and go talk to him. Ask him why he didn't reply and say it again. Especially if it really bothered you and you feel bad, maybe even NOW you should go talk to him about it.
Your dad in the long run is probably just sad because you really don't get to spend as much time together as he'd like and your relationship isn't as connected as he'd wish it was. Go spend more time with him. Are you bored with him or just bored at his house? If it's you're bored at his house, doesn't sound to me like you're really spending time with your dad. If you guys only see eachother once every other weekend why not plan something special? Like going to a movie or a restraunt? Something fun that isn't boring! And while you're at it get to know eachother better and find some common interests... learn from eachother and become bonded!
He really does love you, just because you don't say something doesn't mean you don't feel it.

Its obvious you hurt your dad. Doesn't sound like you understand that he see's you 24 times a year. Twice a month. Whoopee. You hurt his feelings, dad's are sensative too. Tell him you are sorry and then think up some things you can do with him the next time you are with him. You should be calling him everyday just to say hi or say goodnight. Make him important while you can, in a few short years, you will move on with your life and you will never have this opportunity again. Don't waste it.

Your dad loves you very much! Maybe he has a lot going on and maybe he just wanted a night with his daughter. Next time you see him suggest you guys go see a movie and get ice cream or dinner and hang out with him. Theres a lot of family games online. My mom and I have a lot of fun playing games. Good luck .

actual love could come from the middle, yet some human beings purely have an phantasm of love, something their techniques invented that they mistake for truly emotion. Love and understand are linked, you are able to't love someone and by no skill understand them. Like is only a weaker form of love.

i used to do that to my mom... but she'd always say... "love is shown by your actions, not your words." i love you is not that big of a deal... but what you did to him [ the one time you get to spend w/ him... you invited a friend] is even worse... so you know... next time go watch a movie...
