Does anyone know the correct way to perform the paper punching drill for hand speed. This is a drill that Bruce Lee performed. Are you supposed to make contact with the paper or move the paper with the air from the force of your hand?

Lol, it's supposed to be a handspeed drill not a ki projection exercise like in Karate, you're just supposed to learn how snap your punch and try to punch thru the paper not just make contact with the surface. If you put a good snap into your punch, you're supposed to be able to tear a hole in the paper instead of just pushing it away. Speed equals power, without speed you're just pushing the paper. The main idea is to imagine punching thru an opponent as fast as you can with 100% force behind it, since beginners can't do that repeatedly with a hard surface without hurting their hand, a paper is a good target to start with since speed is the goal and not destructive power.

Yes, its possible. Only really good masters can do it. And. Remember, there are even some things that only bruce lee could do, so don't think just anyone can do his drills.

Because it is a reaction hand /eye coordination drill it is a valuable tool. You learn to close down your mind and just let reflex take over.

Bruce Lee was the most OVERRATED martial artists of all time! He NEVER fought other professional fighters in competition, SO how do we know if he really was good?

Just ask someone who trained with him named Joe Lewis! Joe said, Bruce Lee was NOT a fighter!

a good punch cuts through the air, it does not push it.
