JanP, Neal9jsg, Wyomugs, who said that nonsense? Of course, we have attachments even after this life. I don't mean we will get married and have sex, but we will still be connected to those we loved in this world... believe me! I know!

Personally I've been waiting for life-times for the return of my "soulmate". I met a few that I had met a few life-times ago...but it was only residual energy and unfinished buisiness...I'm still waiting so I have no advice...just hold in there if it's meant to be in this life time...then IT WILL BE!!! If not THEN NOT!...I hope only the best for you and your soulmate search!!!

Well... I've been waiting for 8 years now... I think I can wait at least one more. The love of my life will NOT come in the next life or heaven. There will be no marriages or "relationships" after THIS life. So, it's either "now or never."
Have a blessed day.

When I was younger, I would have answered this question no. However, having lived longer, and learned the value of patience, my answer would now be yes. I've had the "not so love of my life" relationships before when I was in a hurry, and they just don't meet my standards now. I've raised the bar, thankfully.
God bless, all.

Couldn't wait for next life or heaven as the Bible says in heaven there will be no marriage there.
However, like Rachel I'm willing to wait for the Love of My Life. She had to wait 7 years and then her father tricked him into marrying his sister and then he had to work another 7 years for her.

I just watched the Lakehouse starring Keanu Reaves and Sandra Bullock... gives a whole new meaning to the term waiting. Check it out and you'll know what I mean.

I think I met her in 2001.
For this life though, I'm staying celibate for the rest of it.
The spirit world isn't a place of worldly attachment.

I met my love already. I'd wait forever for him if I had to, but he's coming home in about 2 hours so I lucked out.

I waited and yes, my wife and I are happily married. Then God showed me that He loved me first and is the love of His life, so I loved him back. My wife and I will love Him the rest of our lives, so that we'll be with Him the rest of His life.

When you discover that you are in full possession of LOVE and LIFE already, you will drop the need and desire and waiting for them!
