I signed up late and I still went to college. I just showed them the papers that I applied. So they let me start college. At the college most financial aid did not come in until a month after the semester started. So I would check with the school and see if you can still get in and get the financial aid.

Every state is different, you will have to go and talk to the financial aid office. Your college also offers scholarships you may want to inquire about early as you will have to apply this semester for the next.

You need to wake up and smell the coffee! Everything you apply for has rules...rules whether you qualify, rules how to apply, and deadlines. You obviously weren't thinking ahead very much for your year in college.....most people know there is a deadline a whole year ahead of time....that you have to meet and they don't change it for anyone.
You also have to have all the right documents ready for when you do apply. If I were you, I would go ahead and apply for next year....maybe take a year at a community college "while" you apply for the next one....and pay attention to all the details....they matter!

Not very, after all , information about deadlines is posted all over the Internet, school guidance counselor's offices and in all colleges. It's not like there was no warning! There still are scholarships available so get going.

We all kick ourselves when we do stupid things that cost us money. I hope you are able to find the money to stay in school until the next time you might get aid.

Okay, the lesson learned her is to APPLY AS SOON AFTER JAN 1st AS POSSIBLE. Yes, you are applying 7 months before you start school!!
Do your taxes as soon as you can and have your parents do the same if you need their information.

Do not be angry with anyone but the person who applied late.
Next time be the early bird and you might be the one to get the worm.
