If you ate a whole bowl of shredded wheat for instance by the next morning you should have been able to have a good bowel movement. It just depends on how fast your body processes the food

May need to get a good colon cleanse program
or some tablets/capsules to start
may take 30 days
if you juice your own raw juice - here is a great recipe for
constipation OR diarrhea
4-6 carrots
handful of spinach
stalk of celery
handful of parsley
2 apples (no seeds - but stem is OK)
brings you back to the center of digestion, and with good potassium
also here is a link to my fav vitamin supplier - and they have great prices on all their stuff
best of luck
PS also make my own muesli cereal:
10 parts oatmeal (regular - not quick oats)
2 parts dried craisins (cranberry raisins - sams club)
1 part brown sesame seeds
1 part dried dates
1 part wheat bran
1 part dried prunes ( or apricots)
good as a snack or breakfast - and that helps the fiber count up
and I need to go make some more 'cause I am out -
all the best !

The result of inceasing fiber and water is an overnight thing, provided you take in enough. Once you begin to get the result you want, stay with an elevated intake, and your constipation will be a thing of the past. You probably need to take a colon cleanser for a week or so to get all the nasty old stuff moved out of the places it's been stuck to. You'll feel great.

Including more of fiber in our diet is necessary . It is not a medicine that we should take for a limited period We should make it a habit. For constipation you should consult the doctor and take something like liquid paraffin, one spoon every night and when you feel you do not need it keep on high fiber meals so that constipation does not return.

You need to have regular BM's, not weeks of constipation. You may need to see a Dr. since the fiber/water isn't working. It is a lifestyle change in eating habits you need and you can research it online by typing in key words: constipation cures and you'll get thousands of ideas to help with your situation.

Gads!!! You should be having two to five movements a day, nothing less! What the heck do you eat?
Weeks on end??? Really??? I have a difficult time believing that!
Drink a lot more water! Do not eat anything canned or frozen. Add fresh vegetables and fruit to your diet.
Worked for me!
