That is why we cant be unified as a Christian body; we say we are, but in reality denominations ruin it because they refuse to work together to reach a common goal. I am a Christian, a nindenominational; but i have gone to seventh Day adventist school, a Lutheran school, and now a baptist school. they all have the same belief, but they all refuse to work together. So to answer your question, I want it to be for Gods glory, but too much of the time it ends up being glorification fo individual preachers.

mostly for self glorification although each individual preacher will deny that. there is a sense of accomplishment in doing what GOD TELLS YOU TO DO and serving HIM. Whether we believe in God or not or even in the same God or type of God. These guys actually do.they seem to revel in the fact that they are putting aside there own wants and needs to do what their god wants them to do. don't forget for ever Joel Osteen or Benny Hinn with their millions of $ there are hundred preachers who have to keep their day jobs.Another thing I'd like to point out is that Hitler also felt like he was serving God and the catholic church in fact he was shocked when the pope eventually turned his back on the third reich. Son of Sam and Mother Theresa were both doing what God told them to do . GO FIGURE!

As with all things, you have people who only wanna run the show or benefit from the show. There are teachers who only care about their check. Leaders who only care about getting into office. Lawers who don't care if you are innocent or otherwise just pay me my fee and take a plea deal, so, I can get on to the next loser and get paid. So, you see it's not just in the church's, corruption is everywhere. Everywhere you have people there is corruption. But, of course, Jesus informed us of this hundreds of years ago.

If it is not for God's Glory then you are in the wrong place. Get out of that church where the minister is more impressed with himself than God.

Some are for God's glory, some for glory to themselves.

As for me, I serve the Lord.

If the church was only interested in the glorification of God then there would only be one true church.
