The officer issued me a ticket in the form of citation. Or at least that is what he called it.
The problem is I can't find out on the ticket itself, how much I have to pay?.
It was a speeding ticket, 44 in a 30.
I was just cruising down a hill, with my foot off the gas, with the music blasting as I do every night.
The cop pulled me over, and you know the rest.
The officer showed me on the ticket where I had to show up to court, and when.
Do I have to show up to court in order to find out how much I have to pay?
He said something about sending it in, what happens next?
(I WILL ADD DETAILS IF YA"LL ASK)

Citations are tickets, no matter which state you are in. You don't have to show up in court unless you want to contest the case or ask the judge for mercy. The back of your ticket should have all the information you need to contact the Clerk of Courts in the county where your citation was issued. They can tell you how much your fine is, directions to their offices, etc.
Before you mail your fine off, if you are going to pay it, photocopy your ticket both sides & file it in your records, so if it is lost somewhere between your house & the courts, you have the copy to send in. Be prepared your insurance will probably increase, since you are so close to 15over. Good luck!!

Read the back of the ticket/citation and it might give you the mail-in info. Or call the Clerk of Courts for that jurisdiction during normal working hours and ask.
Just make sure you pay it before your court date. I doubt you live in an area where you must show up if you're agreeing you're guilty.

It won't show on the citation as to how much the fine is. Follow the instructions on the citation. Just like the Officer said. You will either be given an option of payment, or a court date.

If you pay and admit guilt you get points on your license and insurance goes UP!
so - plan of attack - see if you can attend driver's school on a Saturday and get out of the points -
you may still pay about the same money up front - B U T
the insurance company never sees the ticket - and your rates stay D O W N !!!!!
check with the clerk of the court in your city/county/ or parish
best of luck

You can call the court clerk & he/she can tell you how much the ticket is. They can also tell you if you need to show up in court or if you can send the fine in by mail. If you go to court, you will probably have to pay court costs in additions to the actual fine for speeding.

if there is no dollar amount specified on the ticket then you have to go to court.i am assuming he posted a court date on your ticket.i know in most states ,blasting music is another offense(disturbing the peace) TWO VIOLATIONS ON 1 TICKET EQUALS COURT APPEARANCE.throw yourself on the mercy of the court and plead on your good driving record and you'll probably be let off easy by just paying the cost of the ticket and court costs.just dont worry about it ,im sure you'll make out fine.good luck.and don't be nervous.

you will get a letter from the court prior to your appearance and it will have the bail (fine) listed. if you do not wish to appear take an online traffic school to reduce your cost!
