Make him laugh to make him feel comfortable around you. That is key, if you both become comfortable around each other you can start being friends and hanging out more, and possibly dating (if that's what you want). Compliment him, and then talk about sports, or even TV shows. Find out what tv shows, sports teams, opinions on teachers you share in common, and use those topics to get many conversations started. Ask him where he's going to college/applying, what he wants to do when he's older, sports teams, tv shows, what stores he likes, what he likes to do on weekends, hobbies, things like that. Good luck!

Makeup is not a NEED. It is a WANT. That is the first step, learn to define between WANT and NEED. Makeup that would work on a 14 year old: Lip Gloss, powder, mascara, eyeshadow in a light neutral color. Not all at once unless it's a special occasion. Ask your mom to teach you how to apply it right, or go to a department store and ask them to show you how. There are also a few places that offer classes on how to do it correctly. Clothing lines: Anything you want. Wearing Abercrombie or Hollister will not automatically make you popular, it's expensive for the quality you're getting, and it's very overused. Wear what you like, so long as it's not slutty or distracting for you. (like wearing a skirt when you always wear pants) Hairstyles: Something easy that will keep it out of your face. Exams (or do you call them tests?) are stressful enough without hair in your face. A sleek ponytail will always be classy. There's also a messy ponytail or a messy bun. You can add a little spice to any of these with headbands or hair clips, and pulling small strands out to frame your face. The most important thing is to focus on your school work. Being popular stops paying off the second you leave high school. A good education pays off for the rest of your life. Good luck!

You could ask them what rock bands they like, if they've ever been to a professional sports game, if they've ever been in a car wreck, how many times they've been to the emergency room and what for, do their parents make them do their own laundry, what's their favorite dessert, what do they do to work-out, do they like camping, what's their top 5 movies, what is someplace they want to travel to before they die. Good luck! My son is 17 and he likes to talk about what a rebel he is. If they're senior guys, they probably like to talk about themselves :-) And how cool they are :-) And how all the sophomore girls have crushes on them :-)

Well...It depends on what kind of boy he is. If he is 'emo', ask him how he does the flippy thing with his hair..I dunno lol. If he is a skater boy...Ask him what kind of board he has and who are some of his favorite skaters. If he is a skater, you might want to mention people like Mike Vallely, Rodney Mullen, and Bam Margera in conversation. Ask him which he likes best. Same rules apply for any type of guy. Just see what his hobbies are and his style.
Hope this helps!!

take a few minutes and make a note for yourself on topics you could talk about, and questions you can ask him. Keep the note with you to be ready if he calls, you can keep it in your pocket and refer to it when needed.
what is your favorite color?
when is your birthday?
what sports do you like?
the current war
what you want to do after high school, etc.

Wait for a good moment and you will think of a topic you actully care about and not just trying to blurt out things that might not be even in his interest,

its always nice to have a girl ask stuff about you. its nice but talk about what he likes to do.. sports.. or if not that.. hobbies.. or music.. and when he tells you somthing.. ask about it. dont think about it too much. it makes it worse. thats what i used to do. now i just call and i think opps too late. and i start talking to her. i may be girlfriend less. but i do know what a guy hates most. and that is dont talk about what you have done in the past that isnt good. and dont talk about your old bfs. ;)
