I find it really interesting that the R&S section of answers is so divided that people are not reading the questions. What she is making a joke?

NO I will instead react to what I think that I need to react to and it was Christians and Atheists who both reacted.

so having read your question I ask you are you giving out certificate to this

http://www.salivate.ca/

Cuz as a Christian I occasionally have friends over and it would be great to flavor the side dish with some of it.

Let me know and I will give you an address to send the gift certificate

If it involves paying my college loans as salvation then yes. If you mean becoming a Christian, (no offense to any Christian) but id rather sleep in a hornets nest with vipers and scorpions crawling all over me.

The only salvation I need is paying off my college loans!!

oh and I'm Pagan..not an atheist. Gaia only expects me to treat her with respect and not damage her.

how would you feel if some one said to you.

Christians!!!! I invite you NOW to accept the free gift of salvation. will you accept?

That is rather arrogant and pompous to say such a thing. Even though i am not christian i do know it is not YOUR duty or job to bring salvation in your gods name, your GOD does the judging and salvation not any human can if you are really a Christian otherwise then you are not. I think your GOD would be pretty sad that you think yourself capable of offering this salavation in his name.

So i hope you rethink your statement and realize just how condesending it really is to state. No im not going to report it or anything like that, but you may believe whole heartly in your faith but to make that statement is far too arrogant that even Christians I know would be like who does she think she is Jesus or God that is their job. So I hope that got through to you some what, I am not trying to bash you or be mean, only point out that what you are saying many people will take offensively and even those of your own faith may as well for as i said how can you give your gods salvation only he can do that himself you cannot give it to others not matter how much you may want to.

sure you can talk and tell others about it, but if you truly believe in your faith than you would know it is not you that can bring salvation only Jesus or God can, according to your own faith,

Now in my faith being a Pagan my only salvation is to make sure that the planet is treated better for future generations to enjoy as well. IF we put as much energy into saving this planet as people do at church every sunday praying and donating to their churches rather than the planet this earh may yet survive mankind!!

Again sorry I am not tryiing to be mean, just make you see that what you said is not really a very nice statement to make even if you feel it is to you and you mean well in your heart by it most will not take it that way and will say wrotten things back to you and such. Had you said Atheist I invite you to accept information towards what we Christians believe is Salvation and because i care about humanity and atheists too i want salvation for all of you too would you consider reading this literature or so, then it might not be taken so harshly, you are basically stating your view is the only view and accept it or you will not get salvation?

I hope you understand what I am saying and teaching you. If you want to help others in your heart try to use words that will attract others not offend them. I know you do not see how these words would offend anyone because it is your faith, but just change your first word from Atheist to Christians and then read it and see how you feel then. I bet not so good about it.

(ALL THIS IS SAID ASSUMING YOU DID NOT MISPELL SALVATION and are not joking with true salivation. if you are then i get your joke and NO i do not accept because I do not want to get drooled and spat all over lol.)

I am unsure if you are serious or not so I have two answers as you see. One if you are serious and one if you are not. take the one that fits what you mean.,

If we consider ourselves Christians, Jesus only left us with two suggestions for dealing with Atheists.

First He ask us not to judge them.

Secondly He ask us to love our neighbor.

Atheists are our neighbors.

End of discussion.

Love and blessings Don

No. Proud to be an atheist. Worshiping a dead person (that never existed by the way) is gross.
