An extra question: What was your experience with such a table?

I have such a table. It is my altar and I use it in my circle casting as the center, upon which I place my Goddesses, my altar candles, my incense, my chalice, a feather, a bowl of salt, a bowl of water a crystal, and my altar cloth.

It can not have metal. A table used by a Witch in circle casting must not have metal.

My experiences with my altar table have been wonderful, emotional, energy charged, and ultimately, moving spiritual circles. The vibes and auras of light and space that were created in the sacred space have been amazing.

Such a table would be impervious to strong electromagnetic fields. I imagine it is a card table for use in the MRI bay at the local hospital, or possibly in the control room at a hydroelectric dam.

It can be used for seances as it's all wood. Used to be termed "table tipping." I am the third generation of my family to have used one. You have to have nerves of steel, be prepared for wild gyrations and able to know the numeric equivalent of each letter of the alphabet. I am done with it. Some entities hang around.
