I agree with its seperation but how would you do with getting rid of both church and state?

What would replace the state? How would countries and people live and survive without some rules and regulations to keep everyone from killing one another?

I will never say the State is perfect, but do you have another suggestion over it? Church should remain seperate from the State always IMO but i do think that the state should allow a historical educational class that touches on the basics of all the main faiths so that when you are over seas or something you can at least understand what Ramadan is or Hannakah, and no other reason. I do not think it should be taught to get people to convert or anything, just the basics of most the major faiths from a historical perspevtive. That id be ok with if the State allowed but that is it.

Being from the United States, I shall answer as so.
Seeing as we can never really get rid of church or state, I am definitely a supporter of seperating the two. When a church begins to run the government then the governemnt begins to tell you who/how to worship, and frankly that goes against some of the ideas that founded the united states.
To follow a religion is to take on its edicts and follow its rules. When this mixes with government you end up with the ideal that "If you think differently than the government (current religion in power) then you are evil, no matter how good a person you are." That is not something I want to face anytime soon.

Separation of church and state, a doctrine which inspired many a European to cross the pond in the 17th and 18th centuries, is as American as freedom of speech and freedom of the press. These parts of our First Amendment to the Constitution ARE America. What astounds me is that there are people in my native country who do not understand this. You prefer a system like that in Iran, eh?

I cannot wait until Armageddon for at that time in order for God's heavenly government to properly rule over the earth, all of manmade gubmints must be destroyed. That will be so wonderful, then the truly good-hearted and those loving God and Godly standards which will considerably less in numbers than who are living now, can possess the earth and enjoy it in the abundance of peace forever. This means only about 10% of the earth's population will "make it" after Armageddon destroys all the wicked ones in the earth.

There is going to be a great deal of room on the earth and a lot of clean up work for the survivors and those resurrected after Armageddon. I don't mind cleaning up the earth, and I hope I am amongst the living and not the 90% who will perish.

The Bible goes hand in hand because the Bible is God's word.

I don't how to explain it any other way. When you accept God you accept the Bible hand in hand as 40 men wrote all 66 books of the Bible aforetime for our benefit today as we would need it during these very critical times we are facing today. The Bible is a book AUTHORED by God, of instruction and guidance in how truly loving and decent people need to live their lives in order that we avoid strenuous and harming pitfalls in life.

Yes, 40 men wrote all 66 books of the Bible and they were authorized to do so by God, so obviously the Bible is God's word. There is faith in what it contains because it is true, and many of the prophecies intelligent ones have seen come true right before their eyes and they continue to happen today. A few more prophecies have to occur before "the end of this system of things" where Armageddon will destroy all the wicked in the earth, and then "the meek ones shall possess the earth in the abundance of peace forever". (Psalms 37)

Faith in God means having faith in his word, the Bible. They go hand in hand.

As far as our Constitution is concerned, The state will not sponsor a church(a particular way of believing). All of our founding fathers were extremely devout men with deep convictions of various christian faith. Mostly Protestant, some Deist and others.

Also this Great Nation was founded on the freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion.

So, that means that I get to stay here and you get to go back to that other Communist Godless Nation with a Dictator and sit.

Yet its the state that allows you to live your lifestyle (Proud Gay) without being killed, as opposed to living in Iran. You should be very happy to be in this country
